I had these installed on my 2005 FZ6 using SW Motech Quick Lock racking. Excellent combo. I ride my daily commute 9-10 months a year in the Vancouver area in all sorts of weather. Never a leak. Hatch is super handy, didn't realize how much so until I started using it. Don't plan on carrying these into work each day, they are heavy and awkward to carry. I got a Givi Bag liner and use that, much better.

Michelin Pilot Road 3 Rear Tires Building on the tremendous reputation Michelin has built over the years, the Michelin Pilot Road 3 Tire is the successor to the award winning Pilot Road 2. Revolutionary X-Sipes technology maximizes wet traction Michelins newest technology delivers all-weather performance without compromising tread life or handling Patented innovation resulting from years of research and development Sipes increase the tread's drainage capacity Sipes generate pressure at the edges of the sipe blade, which helps to break through water film Two compound technology combines tread life and cornering grip 2CT incorporated into all tire sizes, front and rear Wider soft-compound shoulders on the front tire, compared to its predecessor High performance and environmentally sound 100 non-aromatic-oil rubber compound Note Sizes denoted by B are designed specifically for loaded sport touring bikes, or for riding two-up. Put these on my 2005 FZ6 about 2000k ago and wow what a difference. I commute in the raining wet coast of BC and these have provided excellent confidence in the corners in pouring rain. Dry weather these things stick wonderfully. I am VERY happy with the all weather traction and great dry road performance! Cheers

Stopped my fogging issue in its tracks. It does get a bit of condensation around the nose area if I am breathing heavy but its just that, condensation. No fog at all. I have the clear lens and the dark smoke. Easy to switch between the two. Just wish someone made a nice protective case to put it in when not using but want to keep with me.

Using with Givi E41's. I commute to work and when I get to the city I simply take my Givi bag out of the E41 and walk to the office.
Pro: Lots of pockets, big and seems to be sturdy; super handy
Cons: Ugly colour, not silver not blue not grey, odd; doesn't fit perfectly in the E41. Its close but you have to massage it into place so it doesn't get caught when trying to close the case
Wish it was in black and hope it holds up to daily use.

Shoei Qwest Solid Helmet The Shoei Qwest Motorcycle Helmet was built with a focus on minimizing helmet weight, optimizing fit for comfort and protection and lowering noise levels to bring a new level of comfort to touring helmets. Featuring a slightly round oval internal shape, the Qwest helmet is manufactured with 4 individual shell sizes to keep the helmet as low-profile as possible. The smaller the helmet shell, the lighter the helmet weight. The Shoei Qwest Helmet also uses the Shoei's CW-1 visor technology with the Q.R.S.A system. This system guarantees a tight seal at the faceshield by pulling the shield back to contact the opening seal evenly. The Qwest also touts an extra-wide viewport for additional peripheral vision so you can more easily take in the world around you. Aerodynamic Shell Design Aerodynamic properties are maximized through extensive wind tunnel and feedback from professional riders Dual-Layer EPS liner enhances impact absorption and ventilation Four shell and six EPS liner sizes increase fit options that help to comfortably fit most head sizes Molded air spoiler reduces drag and lift as well as diminishes weight pressure on the neck while riding at high speeds Ventilation System Upper Air Intake Vent is positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior Large upper intake vent positioned to maximize performance in high wind conditions Easy to operate large lower intake vent Lower air intake/defroster vent reduces shield fogging and increases ventilation Rear/neck outlets allow for effective air exhaust Breath guard and chin curtain are included Lightweight Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+) High performance fiber materials are combined with extremely elastic organic fibers to create a shell structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid and resilient Interior 3D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads Cheek pads are replaceable or removable for maintenance Eyeglass-compatible interior Standard chin strap clip neatly secures chin strap CW-1 Shield and Q.R.S.A. System Q.R.S.A. (Quick-Release Self-Adjusting) base plate allows for tool-less shield removal and installation Spring-loaded base plate pulls the shield back to contact the window beading evenly and ensures a proper seal Scratch-resistant coating 99.9 protection from harmful UV A and B rays Optional, CWF-1 two-dimensional Pinlock equipped racing shields with tear-off posts are available (sold separately) Optional, CW-1 Pinlock prepared shields are available to accommodate Pinlock Fog Free Inserts (sold separately) The CW-1, three-dimensionally curved shield is both wider and taller than the CX-1V it replaces A pre-set lever can easily lock the shield in place to prevent the shield from opening unexpectedly, as well as prop the shield open to increase airflow Additional Features Construction AIM+ (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus Multi Fiber) Weight 3.644 lbs / 1,653 grams (approx, for Size Medium) Standards Snell-M2010, DOT Please Note The vents on the Brilliant Yellow helmet are black, not yellow as shown in product photo. I have owned several helmet's and was looking to buy a higher quality product on this purchase. I have typically used HJC but wanted to upgrade as I said.
Things I noticed:
1.) Noise: Not exceptionally quiet but not loud by any stretch.
2.) Fit: Cheek pads were very snug on mine at first. After a few weeks they did wear in, but are still giving a light "chipmunk" feeling. I may look into switching them this season.
3.) Visor: Disappointed that there is not a heated option available (or at least I haven't found one yet) as the regular shield fogs up quickly in cooler days/nights. I do a lot of early/late season riding as a commuter on the rainy west coast of Canada. I hear the pin lock option works great, I will switch to that soon.
4.) I use a Scala communicator with this helmet and the boom mike fits great.
Overall, this helmet is a great bang for your buck and is reasonably priced in the solid colour option for a value conscious consumer
