Couldn't be happier with the Bell Dark Smoke Faceshield. I was concerned that when it arrived it might be too light and have too much show through from the outside. I liked the way the Bell helmets looked in the pictures online so I wanted it to be really blacked out. I have a matte black Bell Star helmet and I wanted to complete the look with a totally black faceshield. Well when it arrived and I put it on my helmet I couldn't have been happier. It looks pretty badass. Really dark from the outside but excellent visibility from the inside when I'm wearing the helmet. Nice tight fit too with no air leaks. But style comes with a very minor price tag (in my opinion) due to the fact that at night you really want to switch to a clear faceshield. The Dark Smoke is pretty dark for night riding. Fine, I expected that all along if it was as going to be as dark as I'd hoped it would be. And the Bell helmets make it so easy to switch visors that this can be done in seconds with no tools so who cares. So yes, I would certainly recommend this faceshield. I love the way it looks and performs. I even just sent the link to my brother so that he could buy one.

Which color is the transition lenses? Is it the 'gradient'?
It's not the gradient shield. It's the photochromatic that you want. That is the shield that transitions due to the lighting conditions.
