alternative mounting options continued...?
thanks chris for the reply...as far as ease of access/reception because of it being in my pocket....i was referring to my inner jacket pocket, which is about chest high. the unit would probably be clipped to the top of the pocket facing towards me so i could access the controls, and since my jacket is rarely (if ever) fully zipped, being able to use it shouldn't be too difficult. and assuming i can find a way to extend the the cable to use it this way, reception shouldn't be a problem i don't think. i've been using the same/similar setup for the last few years, but wired not bluetooth, with my ipod/phone with a y-splitter plugged in with one outlet for my ear buds and the other outlet connected to an audio-plug line snaked to the front of my bike to my Escort 9500xi radar. which is the other reason why i might use my setup instead of the helmet one, since i have yet to find a bluetooth adapter for my radar...leaving me still having to run an audio wire to whatever device i use. and it would be a lot easier to run it to the bluetooth in my pocket rather than on the helmet. unless you know of a bluetooth adapter that would hook up to a head-phone jack on the radar to send to the bluetooth unit?
