I bought it to wear during my 20 minute commutes to school in the morning. The weather is about high 30's so it is pretty cold! The jacket keeps me perfect warm with a shirt and light sweater under it! You can definitely wear it around and it looks like a normal winter jacket.
Protection is average with basic shoulder and elbow armor. It has slots for back and chest. There are no ventilation on the jacket and I haven't tested it during the summer but you can take the thermal liner out. I'm guessing it will still be pretty hot.
Overall, great jacket for the price. The only issue I have with fit is that I wish the neck had more room. After it is velcroed, it is really tight.

The new Sub glove chassis enjoys several benefits previously found only on gloves at a much higher price. Built around a proven Battlehide goatskin palm and finger gussets foundation, the Sub is more than ready for asphalt chaos. A lightweight textile backhand with a high-mobility thumb, not only creates a prime canvas for Icon's finest art, but provides excellent dexterity and abrasion resistance. Completing the protection package is the plastic knuckle armor group fortified to help disperse the shock of the incoming tarmac barrage. The Sub glove - designed to do your dirty work so your skin doesn't have too. Abrasion resistant premium grade Battlehide goatskin palm Injected plastic knuckle armor Short cuff design with secure wrist closure Pre-curved palm and finger design Imported

Love these gloves for the price! It takes a few times to wear them in initially because the goatskin in the palm and thumb are a bit stiff but now its great! Very stylish short cuff gloves compared to most motorcycle gloves.

What sets off the Alarm?

Does vibrations or louder exhausts from other motorcycles set off the alarm?

What jacket size fits me?

Hello,

My name is William and I am 5'5 and 125lb. I am getting a Shadow 600 and I was wondering what brands make jackets that fit me. I believe I would need an XS. Also, would the Bell Vortex work well with a cruiser style bike like the shadow too?
