For the price I didn't expect it to keep my bike bone dry but it comes pretty darn close. I went with an XL and so far it has covered a Vulcan 500 with a tall windshield and bags and its currently on a SV650s. Order a size up if there is any doubt. You do need to wait for the bike to cool as there are no special panels at the bottom but I find it doesn't take that long. It does have 2 vent holes and a special section on the front so it won't scratch your windshield. My bike stays in a parking lot (unfortunately) so this is all that Ive got and it seems to work just fine. When pulling it off after a downpour the bike is pretty dry, only some condensation or the stray wet patch. So far it has held up through 3 seasons, we'll see how it does for the winter. We get a lot more rain/sleet than snow so it should be good to go.

Bought this as my first helmet after doing a lot of research. The size chart is right on, I ended up going with a small rather than an XS (as I was right in between)and it was a great fit. The light on the back is a nice touch for night time riding and the extra tinted visor is handy because wearing glasses or sunglasses with this helmet can be a tight fit. The view with the visor on is nice and wide and the clarity is awesome. A clean visor is almost undetectable from riding with no visor as there are no annoying sight lines or bends.
I have worn this helmet in 100 degree heat and it moves a ton of air. Sitting at stoplights can be a bit much but anything over 5mph and you're feeling good. You can shut all the vents and it comes with two foam plugs for the mouth area for winter riding but you may want a balaclava as it is still a bit drafty. For $100 this helmet is a bargain!

Glove moves a good bit of air. Wore them all summer in the Tennessee heat for my commutes and fun rides. They will save some skin in a crash but you'll probably break some bones. The leather on the fingertips is a nice touch for ease of controls. I wear a sz 8 glove and the small was spot on.

what chinstrap system does this helmet use ?
A standard D ring and snap for the excess. Strap goes through one side of the D ring, out the other, and then the excess has a button snap that connects to the strap to keep it from flapping around. Its nice and secure but its hard to do with gloves on, even mesh ones. Probably the only downside of the helmet.
