I looked at a lot of options but chose the Solare vented pants because they did not have the built in waterproof/insulated liner that many other brands offer as a feature. I have found that pants with this feature are heavier with the liner in and bulky when the liner is removed. I prefer a waterproof over pant on wet days. On my previous vented pants with the built in waterproof liner, when the mesh gets wet it takes a while to dry, leaving them heavy and cool (water conducts heat from the body 25x faster than air). For added warmth on cool days, I already own a wind resistant skintight base layer that I use for skiing. This way I get all of my needs covered with the smart trimmer fitting, well vented, comfortable and protective Solare pant.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Slightly Small
Large
I am 40 chest, so ordered the Med which according to the fit chart is good for 44-45. It is way too tight for me and the sleeves are shorter than I would have expected. I will need at least a Large, especially if I wear my Gore Windstopper jacket underneath on cooler days.
I'll send a full report once I have the correct size, this seems to be a good jacket for a great price.
The Solare Mesh pant did fit according to the sizing chart.
