Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves - 2011 version With carbon protection and motocross inspired styling and comfort, the Alpinestars SMX2 Air Carbon glove makes an excellent choice for summer motorcycle riding. Utilizing an advanced leather and mesh hybrid construction, Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Glove offers the street rider superior comfort and performance while the carbon fiber knuckle and Clarino reinforced palm ensures high levels of protection. Lightweight hybrid leather and mesh upper construction offers the ideal combination of durability, abrasion resistance and comfort. Synthetic leather palm construction with Clarino reinforcements provides extra durability and protection where it is needed most. Reinforced landing zone with built in foam padding offers additional impact protection Sizing Note If you are in between sizes order a size larger, in RevZilla's experience these gloves fit slightly small.

I just received the gloves so my rating is based on incomplete info, but I wanted to comment on sizing. Per the chart I am either a medium or large, so opted for the large. Once the gloves are on they fit nicely, but they are quite difficult to get into - the entry is really narrow and takes some tugging, which I have noticed on other gloves as well. If any manufacturers are reading this, it is something to address. I will keep these but if I had tried them on first I would not have bought them, unless the XL fit more comfortably.

SIDI Way Mega Rain Boots Sidi, continuously researching new technological solutions to enhance rider safety, is proud to present the Way Rain boot. With Sidis great style, feel, support and quality there are no finer performance off road boots in the world. Non-Bootie Designs Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome add to the boots thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the riders performance and comfort. Lining Each boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to breath out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Strada series boots are fully lined with Sidis own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system. Composite Insole Sidi is the only manufacture to use a composite insole that is anatomically shaped to the rider. A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury. Lorica Boot's outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion - yet it still breathes - with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesnt stain and cant be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots. Features Mega version offers EE width as well as increased room all around the arch area Rain membrane to add a water resistant yet breathable barrier between the elements and the riders feet Lorica Cordura outer construction Perforated Teflon treated nylon lining Composite inner sole Removable arch support Internal heel protection Internal ankle protection Internal toe protection Zipper and Velcro closure system Full length inner gaiter Lorica toe shift pad Double stitched in all high stress areas Reflective heel panel Nylon plate and internally padded shin plate Non-slip Sidi sole Note Boot design varies from image in that area over the instep is solid Lorica, and area at the cuff has a more geometric design.

I wear a 10 4E New Balance sneaker, and this boot in size 44 fits well with a thick sock. Not tight at all - a size 43 might even work a little better. There is a zipper on the bottom inside with velcro closure above, giving plenty of room if you have big calves. The boot is made of a synthetic material which makes it a bit clunky - miss some shifts because I can't feel the shift lever very well. Perhaps this will improve as the boot breaks in.Have not worn them in a downpour so can't comment on their watertightness. Overall appreciate that Sidi has made this boot for wide feet and would suggest that they make other wide models - the audience is out there.
