Dainese Cage Leather Jacket Focus Designed for those in search of a technical article and a sports look with a careful eye on price, this leather jacket offers both elevated protection and ergonomics in the finest Dainese tradition and may be seen as an entry level model thanks to its excellent quality/price ratio. Provided with homologated protectors and back protector/Thorax chest protector pockets, excellent comfort is ensured by the adjustment of collar and side volumes, inserts in Cordura Comfort elasticated fabric, the jacket-pants fastening zip, the 3D Bubble liner and a looser fit than the jackets used more for racing. Features Removable composite protectors certified to EN 1621.1/97 Standard Cowhide leather Cordura Comfort fabric Inserts in elasticated fabric Adjustments strap on neck Waist adjustment Jacket-trousers fastening system Fixed 3D-Bubble liner air spaces Sanitized lining Pocket for Wave G1 and G2 back protector Pocket for thorax chest protector Reflective inserts 3 outer pockets 2 internal pockets Denoted as the Dainese G. Cage Pelle in Dainese's Catalog Note The video for this product incorrectly states that there is perforated leather along the arms on this jacket. In actuality, while it has a perforated look, it is not punched all the way through and will not ventilate in those areas. Primary ventilation will come through the stretch panels.

Ok this is a really awesome jacket! The leather is really nice, I had an issue with the collar not sitting right but after 2 rides it had broken in and was resolved. The zips are big enough to get hold of if your wearing gloves but not that big they are annoying.
I have the red/white/Black version which i thought may look kind of douchey off the bike but its actually very fashionable/comfortable to walk around in. I always wanted a dainese jacket and for the price this guy is amazing. The bubble lining is so comfortable. its warm in the cold mornings and surprisingly cool in the warmer weather. I had it on a day where it got to 80 and i was still comfortable.
I like my jackets a little on the tighter side but ordered a 54 because i heard they run a little small (6'3" 190lbs) the body fit is really good but an extra 1/2 inch in the arm length would have made it perfect!!
I have the G2 back protector installed, you cant even feel you have it in there.
Looks great, comfortable and a great price. Dainese for the win!!!

differences between the Hard Shorts & the Pro Shorts

OK I can figure out that the hard shorts have a hard coccyx protector, but what other differences with the Pro Shorts? My main concern was which of the 2 are a thiner profile (& how much)? Not that I care how big my rear looks, but to wear under jeans/leathers wanting to know there is enough space. Tried the Pro shorts but not these so want to know how they compare
The Hard Short is the update for 2011 other then the mesh style i dotn think there is much difference except a little slimmer and $20. They should fit under jeans no problem

Will this work for a shift jacket?

I wear a shift racing airborne vented jacket. Will the G1 or G2 work for this jacket, or is there a different back protector you would recommend?
I wouldnt risk it, my G2 fits pretty snugly into my Dianese jacket so if there is a discrepancy in the pocket size on the Shift jacket you will be out of luck. The G1 and G2 are specific to your height.

 Dainese Jacket Wave V
Dainese Jacket Wave V
The WAVE Safety Jacket is probably the garment that best expresses the characteristics of the protective concepts developed by Dainese for application to a wide array of sports. Protection EC homologated composite protection on the shoulders, elbows, forearms and back. Soft inserts on the shoulder blades, humerus and chest. Removable back protection. Equipped with soft inserts on the shoulder blades and breast-piece over the bust. The shoulder and elbow protections are mounted on a soft support. The back Wave has an innovative corrugated structure with greater mechanical resistance than the previous versions, yet is exactly the same weight, plus a brand new ventilation system. The waist joint, introduced with Back Space, has been kept as it enables the protector to follow the torsos lateral movements. Comfort Protective waistcoat produced in large-knit fabric to guarantee maximum permeability during use. Adjustable waistbands to improve comfort during use. Straps to adjust the fit of the sleeves and tie straps for shoulder protection are also included.

How to choose size?

V1 and V2 as I understand it is length of the back, isn't it? If I wear Dainese jacket size 52, is it similar with V2-XL for Wave V? Thank you. Yuiry
yeah man your correct u need V2
