Astar airflow pants are fantastic for those hot summer days. They are light and comfortable, offer loads of padding, whilst being able to flow a high volume of air at speed. They zip onto my Astar GP pro jacket and makes the perfect canyon carving outfit.
Just make sure you buy at least one size bigger than your normal jeans size and you'll be fine, unless you have massive calfs, in which case you can even go two sizes up.
Yes, I recommend this product.

How waterproof are these pants? More than the D-system or galvestone gore-tex?

I really like the style but need to stay dry for commuting to work
In my opinion, these are not commuting pants, they are more for sport orientated riding and feels best when zipped onto a sports jacket. Since they are airflow pants they are not waterproof at all.
