With liner, good in the 40's. Great airflow without liner. Unlike others, liner does not bunch up and is easy to install.

Schuberth C3 Helmet - Is it really good for BWM 2012 K1600GT?

I'm looking to buy a couple of these helmets. Most reviews say that these helmets are awesome. In fact BMW recommends this as their preferred helmet.

But I am hearing feedback from owners on forums that this is the loudest helmet they have ever worn. Reading posts for hours I believe that the problem is the that the BMW has a fairing. This faring causes eddie currents to stream by the helmet and hit at angles causing extreme helmet noise. The proof was also interesting in that if on that same BMW you stood up on the front foot pegs while riding, the helmet now on straight in the air went nearly silent.

So my question is this?

What are my alternatives, or will all like helmets suffer the same fate on this bike.

Lastly, BMW makes their own helmet, also manufactured by Schumerth and sold as the "BMW System 6 Helmet". This is not for sale in America but can be ordered from England or Canada and shipped here.

I've got an awesome bike in the K1600 but I need a helmet that works. Any recommendations?

Thank you!
There's a piece that fits under your chin that is removed when you install the BMW communication system. With this gone, it is a little louder. Otherwise I don't find it excessively Loud and I have the communication system and have been able to refit the chin piece. So, problem solved. You can also reduce noise with the adjustable wind screen.

Sizing, and comparison to Shoei

I wear a Shoei X-11 size L, marked 59-60cm and it fits perfectly. Which size C3 will work best for me, and has anyone here switched from Shoei (that they liked) to a Schuberth C3? Thanks.

Additional info: I tried a HJC Sy-max size L and found it to be awful. It crushed my forehead while at the same time feeling loose everywhere else and it even rolled forward 3/4 the way off my head despite being strapped snugly.
I switched from a Shoei to the C-3. The Shoie was an xl, so that's what I got in the C3. Initially I thought I'd made a mistake. It seemed very tight. After a few wearings, it broke in, and now it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned (light and quiet).

Fit compared to Arai Profile

I currently own an Arai Profile (purchased from RevZilla) which fits my head shape as perfectly as I can imagine (no "hot spots" and tight fit). I originally tried an Arai RX-Q and immediately had hot spots on my forehead, which then made me try the Profile. However, the C3 has some appealing capabilities including the ability to install the BMW Motorrad Bluetooth system for full integration with my R1200RT. Based on my fit experience with the RX-Q and Profile, would the C3 be a viable option for me?
I've never owned an Aria. But, I can say that I almost returned my C3 because of tight spots in a helmet that, except for these spots, was obviously the correct size. After a short break-in period, those spots disappeared and it has become the most comfortable helmet I've owned in over 40 years of riding.

Do you have the woman's version of the Schuberth helmet

I measure right at 55 1/4". I saw the Schuberth system at a BMW dealership...The womans helmet had a different liner.
I ride a BMW K1200.
I have the C3 and my wife has the women's version. They are the quietest and lightest helmets that I have ever had and we are very happy with them. The only difference between the two versions is the liner. When we bought them, I asked the folks at Schuberth and they explained that the liner in the women's helmet was easier to wash to prevent staining from makeup.

Will this suit hold up if i ride a bicycle ?

Will this suit hold up to peddling of a bicycle?

The one piece rain suit.
No, I raced bicycles for years and the loose fit will interfere with the bikes gears and could (will) be a safety issue.
