This jacket is a bit pricey, but ventilates extremely well which is necessary for Houston summers.
The fit is spot on to me and it looks great. The elbow protectors feel very sturdy and are comfortable while riding. This jacket does not come with any back protection, but does have a pocket for the Dainese Wave Back Protector G1/G2. No included shoulder protection, nor is there a space to add your own.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Help decide best summer jacket.

I live in Texas (it's hot) and I'm trying to decide what jacket to get this year for urban riding with my Monster. I want to feel protected and be able to wear this jacket in 90-100 degree weather. The jackets I'm looking at are the Revit Air, Dainese Flux and Dainese Shotgun; I really like the Dainese Portland 2, but I'm worried about wearing it during the summer months in Texas. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
I was looking at the Shotgun myself, but you're probably going to have a hard time finding it since it's from 2010 (I could only find it on Dainese's website, but never confirmed if they actually had any left); with that said from the reviews I've read it's a great summer jacket.

I'm in Houston myself and just purchased the Dainese Air Flux. I'll start out by saying it's a very breathable jacket. I rode with it on a cooler morning (somewhere in the 60's) and was feeling chilly! It's a very lightweight jacket with what feel like great elbow and shoulder protection, but the material does seem thin and I wonder how it would hold up if I were to fall at speed. Dainese says it's tear resistant; hopefully I never find out.

In the end I spent $200 on the jacket and just purchased the Dainese G Wave back protector, another $90. A new Shotgun is $290 before shipping and no back protector. Here's a good review of the Shotgun with great pictures: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r4/dainese-shotgun-jacket/ Judging by the pictures on WBW it looks like the material on the Shotgun may be a little thicker / offer better protection, but I can't say for sure.

I can't speak for the Revit Air.

Good luck and stay safe!
