Sorry - had to use that expression for this...
These are very nicely made gloves; obviously very high quality, and the fit does follow the sizing chart well. Since they are not drilled with air holes, of course, there is minimal airflow inside them - but that is to be expected. Yes, they are a little pricey, but between the quality of the make and the D3O knuckle protection in there, I say they're worth it.I know the D3) padding works thanks to some experience wearing a jacket with D3O elbow protection, so while I hope to never have to find out from personal experience about the knuckle pads on these gloves it makes me feel better to know it's there.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've only had the jacket for about 10 days at this point, and since it's been about a thousand degrees in So Cal lately haven't had many chances to wear it (I bought it in anticipation of this hellish weather eventually ending).
That said, I have worn it a few times (sans liner) and can say that even in the heat wave we're having it's pretty good - by keeping the front zipper 3/4 open and zipping open the back ventilation slits and NOT zipping the sleeves at the wrists, I get enough airflow to keep it comfortable.
I already know how good D3O armor is; I was wearing my Armadillo brand hoodie (that uses the same stuff) when I was rear-ended at a stop light and thrown to the curb - my elbow hit at full force and I didn't suffer any ill effect; no bruise, no pain, nothing. I can only attribute it to the D3O solidifying essentially instantly upon impact and protecting me. Sold.
In fact, that's what inspired me to search out other jackets using the D3O armor, and the Icon is the only one I found that dosen't look like a hard-core racer's jacket (I'm just not that guy). It is a bit pricey, sure (thus the "Average" bang for the buck rating) but even having ridden with it only a few times I have to say I am very happy with my purchase.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I got my Evoline Moovit some months back, and originally installed my old Cardo Scala Bluetooth unit on it. It worked, but when I upgraded to an iPhone I discovered that it did not receive the music playing through the iPod function - turns out that Bluetooth specs have changed since 4 years ago and the Sharktooth would be able to handle the dual input (from the single iPhone). So, I took the plunge.
Installation was not too difficult, but it sure would help if there were some videos available online given the fairly useless "documentation" included with the Sharktooth. There is no obvious way to deal with the battery (it does install by sliding it into what looks to be a small gap in the back of the helmet, but a few photos in the manual would make things a lot less scary for a first-time user) and the positioning of the earphones also takes a little trial and error. The good news is, it turns out that the Sharktooth not only relays the music from the iPhone's iPod function, it also gets the spoken instructions from the Navigon GPS app I downloaded to the phone. Thus, while riding I can listen to music, which gets interrupted by the directional instructions ("turn left in 1/4 mile") and also by inbound phone calls.
The bad news is, the helmet is rather noisy, particularly over 50MPH (I do 80 on the freeways) - even with the chinbar down it gets rather difficult to make out the sound. This is not the Sharktooth's fault, of course; the Evoline is evidently a relatively noisy helmet, but it makes for some difficult situations. At non-highway speed, though, it is fine.
I've had the Sharktooth for about a month now, and am still getting used to how to turn it off. Unlike the Cardo, which turned on after holding the master button down for about 7 seconds and turned off by holding that button in for about 4 seconds, the Sharktooth turns on and pairs to the iPhone in about one second - impressive. However, I haven't yet figured out the proper sequence to turn it off completely - holding the master button down for 5+ seconds seems to activate the voice command feature rather than shut down the unit, but killing voice command from the phone and then pressing that master button for another few seconds does seem to shut the Sharktooth down altogether.
But that's a minor issue - the noise levels at higher speeds making the audio somewhat incomprehensible can become an issue, though I am playing around with volume controls to ameliorate the problem. In all, if you have an Evoline 2 (with the cutout to take the battery pack) this is certainly a worthwhile addition.
Yes, I recommend this product.

While the helmet is a little tight - I have an XL and it's a bit more snug than my other XL brainbuckets - I find the Evoline well worth it's price and weight thanks to its flexibility for highway and street riding.
The conversion between full-face and open (i.e. - flipping the chinbar to the back) is quick and easy enough that I can switch in about 10 seconds or less, meaning when I am stopped at the bottom of the off ramp (or at a light prior to getting on the highway) I can quickly switch modes.
I have seen some complaints about the internal sunshade not dropping quite low enough, but I have no problem with it and think when the chinbar is in the down position the shade is perfectly placed anyway. I've ridden with the Evoline for about 1000 miles by now (about 1/3 of that on freeways) and only have good things to say about it. Yes, it's a bit more costly than non-convertible helmets, but the ability to really ride with the chinbar out of the way makes it well worth it.
Pros Comfortable, versatile
Yes, I recommend this product.
