I ride mostly back roads, and a ton of forest service stone roads. My Anakee II's came off around 5000 miles with the rear almost worn out, and front was not much better.
Now I have 3000 miles on the 705's (front and rear). Front still seems nice, but back is getting old. I expect to get another 1000 miles out of the back and I bet front will last as long as 2 back tires.
Traction:
Stone/hard dirt/ maybe wet hard pack (read slime coat, not deep mud), they have more traction then the Anakee 2's. But as they age, the size of the cutting edge goes down and so does traction.
Street During aggressive road riding (dry) I feel the Anakee's are better. These seem to slip a little on corners at times where the Anakee's hang on. They will wear real fast if you push them hard on Black Top.
I have the radial rear. It has one 1/2 long crack at the leading edge of one treads, not sure if I picked something up on the road, or is it stress, but it does not seem to be getting worse.
Wet road. they seem very predictable on wet roads, but I slow down when it's wet anyway.
they do have a little more vibration at city speeds then the Anakees, but that is because of the wider gap between tread pads. You feel when you first put the tires on, but you don't think about it after a couple miles.
For the price, I will be buying more of them until something else like the mitas E-07 comes available in the USA
(Maybe Anthony can become the USA distributor, Are you listening Anthony?)
Yes, I recommend this product.

Airhawk R Seat Pad The last mile feels like the first, thanks to AIRHAWK's exclusive Shape Fitting Technology. This patented system eliminates painful points and promotes consistent blood flow for a longer, more comfortable ride. Memory foam can't do it. Gel seat can't do it. Features Center cutout area runs from front to back of cushion Re-designed cell geometry improves airflow under the rider no hot seat Back cutaway allows for a tail bone relief area with a tapered transition for increased comfort Cushion comes standard with cover, attachment loops, and cruiser straps. I guess my Butt has spent too many years sitting in an office chair. Even with 2 different aftermarket seats on my F800GS, my Butt would be sore after 2 hours and I would need to get off and walk around.
I put the Air Hawk R on the seat, played around with the air pressure and went for a ride. 2 hours out, still moving. At 4 hours I needed to stop for fuel and water (10 minutes). Back on the bike and continued riding an additional 125 miles of stone/dirt roads. 8 hour day and I was still ready to ride more. The Air Hawk fixed solved my discomfort problem.
I would prefer to not have this thing mounted on my seat, but after using one I now know it allows me to ride in comfort for more then 2 hours.
I plan on coming up with a different mounting system. I feel the need to lock it in the luggage when I go into stores; it comes off easy but the way the mount straps work i need to remove my seat to reinstall it.
If you got a "tender Butt", this might be the solution for you.

Givi E45 Economy Monokey Luggage Case The E45 cases are classic in style. They have a durable finish which makes them ideal for use on dual sport bikes whilst the conventional style would also compliment any older model bike. The E45 cases are great for use as side cases or as a top case. As with all the cases in the Monokey range 1 key can be used to lock/unlock the case or remove the case from the mount. The E45 case is available in flat black only no painted finishes are available. Accessories for this case include a choice of back pad, and an inner liner. My biggest question was "Will my XL Arai Signet-Q with Sena SMH-10 mounted fit inside this case?" The answer is Yes. It fits standing up and leaves just a little room on top so case lid is not distorting when you close the latch. But does not leave enough room for my Wife's Nolan modular (but that fits on my side case).
Nice product for the price, and I feel it looks better on my ADV bike without all the tail lights molded in.

I have an Autocom, but got tired of the cables to my helmet, dealing with feedback from ground loops and all the specialty cables required (which seem to change with every new version of Autocom). I bought the autocom on closeout and it still cost as much as this headset after I got done buying all the cables I needed.
I bought the SMH-10 and upgraded it to the latest software.
It works great.
I picked the SMH-10 because it looked easiest to operate. Turn the jog dial and you change volume of what ever your listening to (and it remembers this setting independent for each input I think). Press the jog dial for a couple seconds and music pauses (or un-pauses).
I don't like to use the phone while riding, but when your on call 7X24 you sometimes have to take those calls.
If phone rings, press the rear button and answer the phone. Want to make a call press the rear button and my phone says "please say a command". After training the phone with my voice I can make outbound calls. I have to tell the person who calls me I am riding or they would not know (no noise in call).
I had a problem where I would tilt my head and the music would stop. I could not get the music to start again unless I started the player again using phone keys. It turns out I was pausing the music because the jog dial was hitting on my shoulder, and my blackberry would not un-pause music upgrading my phone to OS 6 fixed that un-pause problem and not leaning my head over stopped the jog dial from hitting my shoulder.
.
I have not tried headset to headset yet (too cold for wife to ride) but if it works like the auto switching between music and phone it will acceptable (I have VOX turned on). There is a second delay while bluetooth switches between inputs, so expect this while using the unit (it's a bluetooth thing).
Sound quality is as good as the autocom, but no more cables to my helmet. If you want HiFi sound, you can buy a headset base that allows you to use ear buds.
Battery life has been great, I only ride a couple hours at a time but always have the music on. I have never had the battery go dead, I just charge it every 2 weeks or so when I think about it.
Just keep in mind that the headset to headset communications is propitiatory with all headsets. What this causes is manufacturer A's headset can talk to the manufacture B's headsets, but they can all talk to modern Bluetooth devices.
If you have any problems, Sena has great phone support. They are currently testing a software release where up to 4 headsets can talk to each other (chat style) at the same time. They expect that release soon.
I also bought the SR10 to interface with my 2 way radios,
(and sound from the new gps I am looking at) but have not had time to play with it on the bike yet.

Arai Signet-Q Helmet - Solid Colors The Signet-Q takes all the favorite features of the RX-Q and create a whole new series based on all the successes. On the outside, the Arai Signet-Q Helmet looks very similar to it's namesake, the RX-Q, but on the inside you can see and feel the difference. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. Additional Features of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet Both the top vent set and side exhaust cowls are direct carryovers from the RX-Q Brow vent ducting redirects to flow air across the temples DDL-4 exhaust vent to the 10mm wider eye port (5mm on each side) Long Oval Fit SAI MAX-Vision Brow Vent shield Clear Pin Lock Max-Vision Brow Vent pinlock lense included. Elongated shell adds 5mm from front to back Long-Oval shape helps prevent Hot-Spot Multi-Density Single piece EPS liner Removable, replaceable, washable interior Dry-Cool Surface material for rapid displacement of heat and moisture away from your head and into the ventilation airflow for added comfort while riding and a quick dry between rides 5mm peel-away temple pads adds another level of customization, giving the helmet interior a little extra width when needed Enhanced for customizable micro fitment interior without the need to purchase extra interior components New FCS (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design Innovative and exclusive spring support adds just the right amount of pressure when needed while being worn Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards

This helmet fits long oval "big chin" heads perfect. Over the years I have tried many helmets, but this one fits perfect. It even fits better then the Aria Profile. Coming from several years of Modular helmets, this is the quiets helmet I have ever owned. Yes you can hear a little wind noise from the vents, but compared to my N103 this is heaven.
Finally a helmet where my nose does not hit the rubber flap below the visor and my chin is not hitting the lower face guard :).
Would have preferred to get a bright yellow version (not made at this time), but the diamond white really stands out.
I am fortunate to live close enough to the Revzilla Philadelphia store so I can see what really does fit and compare brands/sizes, etc. The store (and phone) workers really know there stuff about everything they sell. It's worth the trip if you live near the store :)
Thanks Kat, helmet fits great!

I have a problem buying gloves that fit. They are almost always too short in the fingers. If I put a ruler between my first 2 fingers my middle finger measures 3.5". I bought the XXL and they fit perfect.
I hate wearing thick gloves, these have padding in just the right spots and they don't feel like your wearing winter gloves. The Silicone stripes on fingertips are a nice feature for riding when wet.
I would recommend to a friend and would purchase these again.
I am quickly becoming one of Klim's biggest fans. All there gear is top notch.

I have been riding dirt bikes all my life, then I bought an adventure bike. I wanted a boot with the protection and support of a full size off road boot, in a shorter height that was easy to take on and off for my Adventure bike riding. Keep in mind If a boot is uncomfortable, or too hard to put on and remove you will not wear it every time you ride (ATGATT). The Tech 2's fit the bill perfect!
This boot is designed (and listed on RevZilla) as an off road boot. You might have to raise your shifter one notch. And as with any of the boots that are designed to offer protection for hazards you might experience off road the boot will feel stiff and you might not want to wear it when you go hiking, but if you want great protection and support this boot will work for you. The sole is stiff which helps with comfort when standing up on the pegs. The back top of this boot is designed so you can still move your ankle front to back a little better then full MX boots when walking. The buckles do allow you to tighten up the boots better then laces, no zippers to blow out and they are real leather that don't result in wet feet when you hit a puddle (although I don't think they are water proof, at least they are not advertised that way).
I am very happy with my purchase. I wear 11.5w in work boots so I went with the 12. They fit great.
I bought these after buying a pair of fox boots in size 12 that were around 1/2" shorter then any size 12 I have ever worn, but Revzilla let me exchange them with no problems!

The ride started with a nip in the air. Thirty miles later it is sunny and warm. Like a chameleon, the Dakar Pant, with its controlled ventilation chassis, changes to meet the demands of any condition with little adjustment. The Dakar can adapt with the help of 20 inch mesh-lined zippered thigh vents and a mesh-lined rear leg vent. Adaptation does not come at the cost of performance and durability. The Dakar Pant is built with TNP heat and abrasion- resistant leather panels on the inner legs, Cordura fabric for strength and highly reinforced knees and seat. I have been buying Off road pants for the last 25 years. I wanted something that fits over the boot for adventure riding so I bought the Dakar.
These are the most comfortable pants I have ever owned! Last summer I did a 5 day, 200 miles per day adventure ride wearing the Dakars with just a pair of Bicycle shorts underneath. The combination was perfect for the summer heat. the 20" zippered vent really does work!
The designer at Klim obviously must be a rider because the design is all about comfort and functionality over "loud fashion statement" . Don't get me wrong, I think they are also one of the best looking pants because they are basic colors with small graphics. But you will love these pants for there functionality. These pants are well thought out! From the zippers on the legs that open to give you a vent that really allows air in to cool you, to the pockets, to the clip to secure a key . They have an adjustable waist system that I think will take in a whole 2" They fit great. The over the boot system has a flap built into the pants that uses velcro that you can tighten up on your boots that works great.
They cost a little more then some of the other manufactures gear but I feel they are worth it for the quality of materiel, design and features. Plus I think they last much longer then other pants. (when was the last time you saw Motorcycle gear that said Machine wash )
I also have a pair of the Chinook pants which are very similar to these accept they are in the boot design.\
After talking with Klim, I ordered the same size as I wear in Wranglers jeans and they fit perfect.
I would recommend these to anyone.
I also recommend Revzilla for all your gear. Not only to they have great prices, but if you have any questions call them, the people who answer the phone also are riders!
