I recently decided to beef up my protective gear since I plan to start doing track days and possibly some racing. So, I stumbled on this which for the price is phenomenal. Nice aluminum sliders on your elbows and shoulders, full perforation, good overall protection, etc.
A word about the sizing:
The only gripe I have is with the fitment, I had to order the suit 3 times. Granted, this is the first time I've bought a race suit and there's not a place for me to try them on around here, but it was pretty frustrating. I weigh 170lbs, 38" chest, 32" waist, and I'm 69" tall, so I'm a pretty small guy all things considered. I ordered the 42 because according to my measurements it should have fit like a glove except the weight, but I'm losing weight so that's a non issue. The suit was so small around the crotch and hip that I felt like it was going to split open when I tried to mimic a lean situation in the living room. Sent it back and ordered a 44. This should have definitely fit me like a glove, except again, the suit felt too short around the crotch and hip areas. Ordered a 46 and now it finally fits. No binding around the hips or crotch. and it even is the right length despite the size guide saying it is for someone who is 77". So, the takeaway from all of this is that you should probably order 1-2 sizes up from what you fall into with the chart. I personally have no idea how the model in the video would have been able to actually ride and lean if he was wearing a 42 because of the shortness from the crotch and hip to the shoulders. Although, I may just be an odd shape.
