Thought about getting a bigger tank on my XT, but the rotopax is not only a cheaper option, but one that can be transferred to other motorcycles. I bought it for a Baja trip, but the trip turned bad (fellow rider took a spill, cracking ribs, puncturing lung) so I didn't get a chance to really use it. Dumped the fuel I had been carrying into the bike when we made it back to the US - took me a bit to figure out the spout (no instructions were included), but now that I've figured it out, it seems easy, and rather clever. Can't speak to how well it holds in vapors, because I accidentally sloshed when I filled it. Look forward to giving it another try.
Here's the story of the trip, if you so desire:

I was looking for a sturdy bag for my XT225 and this fits the bill. I have a larger Wolfman tank bag on my Ducati, so I knew it would be well put together sturdy, if not inexpensive product. It fits the XT well - no trouble fueling up with it in place, and no trouble riding standing up, either, and it is still large enough to be useful. (Today's contents: a water bottle, sandwich, camera and wallet with a couple other small odds and ends.) The map pocket is necessarily small, since the bag itself is small, but I wouldn't buy a tank bag without one. I also like that it's detachable. The front pockets on both my Wolfman bags are the same, and aren't really good for anything as far as I can tell - I prefer a front zippered pocket with some actual space in it. Even without gloves on, it's pretty hard to get anything in/out of the Wolfman mesh front pocket. The loop/carry handle over the pocket is nice - I thread electric vest cord through it. The internal pocket in the lid is simple but useful. I wish the X-strap and rain cover were included, or at least available on Revzilla. It's going to be annoying to pay so much shipping to purchase these small (but important, in my mind) accessories for the bag elsewhere.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Yes, a swivel would be a nice addition, but it's certainly manageable without it. I have no way to test the accuracy, but I must say, having the bleed off valve is GREAT.

This is my second cover for a second bike. The first is a Dowco Weatherall (not the Plus), It has a lifetime warranty, and I've used it. The cover takes a beating in the sun here, and Dowco has replaced it not once, but twice. The "Plus" is sturdier, and will fare better, I think, but if it doesn't, I know they'll honor the warranty. There was no question I was going to get another Dowco.
Wish it wasn't black - it's going to get HOT under there!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Wolfman RotoPax Fuel Pack 1 gallon capacity.

Are these the same as the regular rotopax?

Is this the same product on the Rotopax website, or does the Wolfman branded one have differences? Would it work with standard rotopax mount?

Thanks for sharing that link. I have seen that suit, and it's close, but the combination of features that really attract me to the X-Moto pants is:

1) large mesh panels (think off road in 100+ degree weather). I also like the idea of the leather on the inside, but it's not a deal maker/breaker.
2) the mesh can be closed off from the outside (I'm probably, errr, unique, but I've never found using a liner works as well as simply closing the mesh from the outside, so for me, other mesh items simply won't work. I would likely have the mesh closed most of the time, (except for situation number 1, so I like the option of the better abrasion protection when having them closed, too.)
3) Full length leg zip - quick and easy commuting pant!

That being said, I do like the Rev'it gear, because it's smaller, and I do like the option of full-c zipper.
The Rev'it jacket looks nice - mesh that you can cover up from the outside! Yay!, (not to mention what seems like better abrasion protection overall). If I was in the market, I'd definitely be looking at that...

And, solely for purposes of discussion: I don't really understand the concept of having the waterproof liner on the inside of gear. In rain, you might be dry, but your jacket is heavy, cold, clammy and going to take a while to dry, depending. Plus who wants to stand in the rain, take off the jacket, insert the liner... blah blah? I'll take my outer rain suit any day.

Just putting my thoughts out there. Can't be heard if you don't speak! And yes, I'll admit I'm picky. Hard to part with good money on something that doesn't quite suit your needs.
Thanks for doing what you do - I think your videos are a great tool!

Thanks for the clarification! Now - the answer I can't find anywhere. What sort of abrasion resistance does this "Mugello" offer, as compared to other fabrics?
