I was looking for a slip-on boot but, the waterproof flap conceals the laces, I hate laces! As boots go this is a great boot with excellent traction and can be worn all day with no problems. I personally have some arch supports on the insole and I can walk around all day in comfort with these on.

Different cheek pad size?
I also have the Shoei Hornet DS helmut. Mine is a size XL. The cheek pads are snug to the point it starts to make my face sore on long rides. Can I change to a 31mm from the 35mm it comes with?
They should fit right in no problem.

How dark is the dark tint? Live in the Pacific NW and it's not always that sunny plus there's lot of shades from trees.
Want to know if this is to dark for the overcast skies and rides with lotes of shades from trees. Can you see the road clearly as to avoid pot holes, bump and other obstacles? I'm concern that the road won't be seen as clearly as a clear lense.
When the sun is high there is no problem even on cloudy days, the only time I have to switch to the clear is around sunset.

Is this the same as the HD carbon Kevlar helmet that they have?
