bought this for my 2016 fjr1300es after a long ride on the highway (aching back and wrists). This part brings up the bars and also brings them back. Install was nice, pics are included in the instructions...i think the hardest part is extending the brake line (then bleeding it) and removing the wire loom as you have to cut it before you can remove it to get all the wires/cables out of the way. But it took me some of friday night after work, then most of saturday to install it, got done around 4 pm. So far i like it very much. Fit and finish is nice, i thought about just getting a longer brake line, but how? you could go with Spiegler (stainless steel) but the bike is brand new and don't really want to go that route yet. The prep is really the longest part as you have to cut the wire loom, re route the throttle cables, remove a clamp on the clutch cable to extend it. i also removed my gas tank to make it easier (and also i had to re-torque the steering head bearings as the bike was new adn that's part of the 600 mile service i didn't do just yet). And removing the gas tank is simple on the fjr, 2 bolts and one in the back, a fuel line and 2 electrical connections. It does make throttle body synchs a bit more involved in that the handlebars are now in the way so you can't just remove the 2 bolts on the top of the tank and 'pivot' the tank backwards. But a small price to pay for all day riding comfort.

got this for my 2016 FJR1300ES. I had the V46 but felt it looked a bit dated and sold it with my 2006 fjr. This case i wanted to hold a helmet in when i parked the bike as i'm worried about thieves just taking it if i left it on the bike. The plus is also the V56 uses the same mount as the V46. The only issue is the spacers (if you watch Bryan Glenn of 2 wheel obsession you can get this info as well), the spacers for the rack may need some shimming, particularly the one furthest back (there are 3 of them, 2 up front and 1 in the back). I just needed one washer to make it even with the other 2 spacers. Other than that it bolted on very easily (also i used loctite blue to hold the bolts on). The top case fit on exactly. I like how the V56 has padding in the bottom of it now, an addition the v46 didn't have when i got it. They give you 2 keys and tell you to put one in your wallet in case you lock a key in the case. Also has a light kit that i got from another vendor (sorry Revzilla as you didn't have one in stock). But overall, very satisfied with this case.

i was worried that the magnets would scratch the paint but i had some paint protector kit that i had previously installed and the magnets from the bag sit right on these, so it takes the worry out of scratching the gas tank. Nice bag, plenty of room, easy to remove and get it out of the way when you're filling up the bike. Inside is nice too, plenty of room for the stuff i carry. The map pocket is small but i just keep my EZpass in there for tolls.
