I bought a pair of the original Response boots 2 years ago. Loved them and finally wore out the bottom of the soles at 36,000 riding miles. Wanted another pair of them, but could only find the new Response 2.0 ones. Got them figuring they would be just as great. Very disappointed at this point.
1. The boot laces up through sewn-on loop eyelets. Out of the box it took me 30 minutes to lace them up before being able to put them on. The eyelets are so small it is darn near impossible to get the plastic lace end into and through them. If you ever have to replace a broken lace out on the road, especially in inclement weather, good luck. It will drive you insane, if you can manage to do it at all.
2. The original Response boots had a full velcro cover that wrapped around the boot and covered all the laces. The 2.0 has a narrow flap that wraps around only the top of the ankle portion of the boot. Your excess laces and bow knot have to be stuffed under this narrow flap to keep them from flying around, and you either end up with a bulky bulge from stuffing the laces under the flap, or you have laces sticking out from under the flap. Not to mention the rest of the laces through the eyelets are not covered or protected from the elements.The exposed laces and the instep area under them are going to collect crud on the laces and under them while riding, and it is going to be a pain to clean those areas.
In my opinion TourMaster really dropped the ball on the design of the 2.0's. They are not rider/user friendly. Why they decided to "improve" the original Response design with this travesty is a mystery to me. I'd rather have the original Response design again instead.
The 2.0's are as comfortable as the original Response's, but other than that they are a downgrade from the originals. Due to the current design, I felt obligated to downgrade the "Style", "Protection", and "Features" areas of the review ratings.
I also had to order a size 13 instead of the original Response size 12's I wore. Not a negative critique of the boot, but it seems the 2.0's are much narrower/smaller in design than the original Response ones.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This is my second rear PR3 for my Honda NT700VA. The first one got 19,000 miles tread life before I had to retire it because the sipe tread on the harder center tread portion of the tire had worn away. With proper care (maintaining proper tire pressures) the PR3 will give you outstanding miles vs the cost of the tire. Dry and wet grip is superb and it is very solid and stable in sweaper and twisty cornering. I'm hooked on the PR3's and they will be the only tire going on my motorcycle in the future.
FWIW, my front PR3 has 20,000+ miles on it now and still has plenty of tread left. I am predicting 25K+ on it before it needs replacing.
My motorcycle is a Honda NT700VA, weighs about 550 lbs (sport/tourer) and rider weight is 170 lbs. Many of the miles on my PR3's are long-distance touring with added cargo weight on the bike also.

I received mine yesterday. Charged the battery and did a test Bluetooth connection to my cell phone. Works great and speakers sound great held up to my ears. Then I went to install it in my Shark Evoline 2 Wayer. Instructons say to put the battery in a "pocket" behind the neck pad, and show a picture of what appears to be a pocket in the back of the Shark helmet. There is no pocket there on my helmet. I've never installed one of these things before. One of the pictures here shows it looks like it is just "glue fastened" to the inside back of the helmet. There is a black rectangular one-sided "sticky pad" that came with it, but the instructions say nothng about what it is for. How do you install the battery in the rear of the helmet?

How Do You Install the Battery?
I received my Sharktooth Bluetooth from Revzilla to use with my Shark Evoline ST 2 Wayer I ordered several months ago, also from Revzilla. The instructions that came with the Sharktooth say (and show a picture) to install the battery in the "pocket" at the rear of the helmet. There is no pocket as shown on my Wayer, neither in the neckpad or the padding underneath. When I remove both the neckpad and the under-liner, there is the helmet shell with no apparant "indentation" or anything that indicates the battery should go "here". The Sharktooth came with a small rectangular one-sided "sticky pad" which I'm guessing is used to mount the battery, but the instructions don't even mention the pad or what it is for. I've never installed a helmet comm system before. Looks easy enough...once I get the battery in place. So...how do you "mount" the battery in the rear of the Shark Evoline ST 2 Wayer without having the "pocket" as shown in the instructions? Thanks for any guidance.
