J.C.'s Reviews

Reevu MSX1 Helmet - Solid Colors The world's first rear-view helmet. Reevu has been the industry leader in rear view technology with their patented mirror system, manufactured from a reflective polycarbonate material rather than glass. The polycarbonate material is almost impossible to break, weighs less than glass and provides additional safety and comfort to the rider. The mirror system essentially bends the light around the shell of the helmet, offering a clear view of what's behind. The Reevu System works just like a car's rear view mirror offering awareness of the road ahead and behind without making a conscious effort as both are simultaneously in your field of view. Features Patented rear-view technology Tri-composite carbon fibreglass, Kevlar and synthetic hi-tenacity advanced fiber shell Fully removable and washable liner Anti-fog face shield The Reevu Mobility Program gives the rider an opportunity to replace their Reevu helmet that has been damaged in a crash with a new one at just 1/2 of the price Note Helmet ships with clear face shield.

The fit and finish of this solidly built helmet is quite impressive, featuring subtle accent curves that arc along the sides. It is unique in the fact that it is the only helmet featuring a rear view mirror.
I have found that the helmet sits slightly high on the head and it has to be canted slightly forward at an angle in order for the mirror to be used properly. The reflection is slightly distorted around the outer edges. In the low light of my early morning commute, I have found the mirror to be a bit unusable. However, with proper light condition, it is quite remarkable. I find myself "spying" on vehicles behind me when I'm stopped at a light.
As others who have worn and reviewed this helmet before, one negative point is the fact that it doesn't have that much airflow, which probably accounts for its quietness. Another negative point is how difficult it is to replace back the visor shield. Strangely, the mechanism allows the visor to be removed easily. If you change visor shields often, this might be a drawback. I don't consider it a deal breaker since I find myself only changing my visor shield once during the day.
All in all, I would recommend this helmet, even if it didn't have the rear view mirror technology.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I had $20 Revzilla cash after ordering a Reevu Helmet, so I decided to purchase this a week after my helmet arrived. It fits my large Reevu MSX1 perfectly. It's well padded and made of a semi-rigid material that looks like will stand up over time. The bag has an extra visor located on the outside perimeter, as well as a small pouch inside. This is an excellent product and highly recommended, especially if you have an expensive helmet.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The Ogio Mach 3 has an excellent look, but has some problems in execution. The hard shell is made up of some new fangled material. It feels like somewhere between plastic, rubber, and foam. Unfortunately, it seems to be prone to getting "dents" or depression marks. As everyone has complained, the backpack doesn't stand up, which means that the dent marks are inevitable.
Strangely, I haven't laid this backpack down on any surface that would cause this... I've been extremely careful taking care of it, so I'm not quite sure what has caused the two or three dents to appear.
The interior is very tight inside. Right now I have an IPad, a bluetooth keyboard, and a couple of shirts inside and that's about all I can fit without making the back bulge out. I don't recommend this backpack to anyone who has to continually take things in and out through the course of the day. It opens from the backside so it's somewhat difficult to take things in and out, especially since the backpack doesn't sit-up or stand up.
All in all the backpack is satisfactory, but I wish it could have been made with a tougher material that's resistant to marring.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The lens provides an air barrier to prevent fogging in the cold mornings during my commute, even when the face shield of the helmet is fully closed. I only wish that Revzilla would carry other lens colors besides the standard clear.

Revzilla delivered on time as promised, and in perfect condition. The fit and finish of this jacket is simply flawless. The leather is beautiful. It comes with a stitched 8-pack stomach look and titanium shoulder and back shields. This jacket costs up to $600 elsewhere. I can't believe Revzilla has it for $350. I would highly recommend getting this jacket.
