Good: well-protected, well made, movement of articulation, simple straps for easy on-off, removable and washable liner, forget I am wearing them sometimes.
Bad: bulky (but will fit under a pair of loose jeans), scratchy (although this is going away), tend to ride down after a bit of walking, not much air flow, can't hug the tank with my knees anymore.
Summary: Perfect if you want something that will protect your knees at an affordable price. Obviously not for knee dragging.
When I walk around in these I feel like robocop lol.
Yes, I recommend this product.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
This is my first pair of a track boot, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but here is my impression.
The good: Quality is great. Although mine arrived with scuffs on them, I think that is a "previously tried on" issue. Super comfy - my feet are really wide and don't fit well, but it was still comfortable to wear and walk around in for a bit. Looks great, I think they are wearable to the office without screaming "morphin' time!" Zip/lacing system is cool, easy to put on/take off. Heel cup feels very substantial.
The bad: Shin protector is flimsy. I can bend it easily with one hand. Ankle protection system seems good for impact only. Very little crush protection - again, I can squeeze the red circle joints and make them almost meet on the inside of the boot. Extension/abduction protection of the ankle is almost nonexistent. Boot is soft in the back, so even if the guard stops moving, your ankle can keep extending because your calf is pulling out the back. In the front, the guard is soft. With the boot off, I can get the toe to meet the shin by bending it with my hands. I also see alot of extra glue in alot of the seams.
Overall, I think these boots are ok. 3/5 as a track boot brought down to 2/5 by the price. I am RMAing for a pair of Puma 1000s. Hopefully they will meet my expectations.
REVIEW UPDATE:
After RMAing for several other boots, I decided to stick with these as I really didn't like any other product available.
For the amount of stiffness/protection provided, these have broken in great. Although I still have some pressure points (my feet are freakin' weird) they are unexpectedly comfortable. I forget I am wearing a race boot when I am riding.
My initial thoughts on extension/abduction protection still hold true, however I think it's not that big of an issue. It would only be inadequate in the most extreme of circumstances (in which case your feet are probably the last thing the ER is going to worry about).
I still think crush protection leaves something to be desired, but after seeing other products in the same price range or higher, it seems to be the standard.
I want to reiterate how good these look. Some other products I have tried really look ridiculous. I can slip a pant leg easily over these even though they are meant to be an outer boot.
In summary - These are super comfortable and provide decent protection while looking good. One star off for price and protection being good only when compared to what else is out there.
Yes, I recommend this product.
