I have found the Defender PRO and it’s upgrades worth the investment. As an existing owner of a Defender there were so many improvements from the existing my Defender that I had to purchase the Defender PRO. Honestly Anthony’s video covers the jacket throughly and I found him his assessment accurate.
There are couple areas that I found particularly useful and I con comment on. First, the front pockets open vertically and velcro close. They are not large but are very handy. The redesign chest pockets are slimmer and don’t look like manboobs as the original Defender looked.
The arms are much slimmer making the elbow armor fit much better and ventilation is much improved with the elongated zipper further up the arm. I like the enlarged rabbit pouch to store soft items for quick access.
A couple other observations. The jacket adds zippers at he hem to allow for flexibility for riding position and flexibility with stuff is in the rabbit pouch. The Seesoft back protector fits and feels much better than the SasTec I use in the original Defender. The shell fabric is very flexible and soft to the touch.
Eliminating the thermal liner in the Defender PRO is my preference since I use heated gear with lower temperatures. The liner to drop Gore Tex gives me more options across a broad temperature range.
Having the original defender go from 19F to 119F I suspect the PRO will be better in the higher temperature range.
I’d say the fit is a bit snugger than the original Defender but I prefer it’s cut and design over more boxy cut jackets.

REV'IT Defender Pro Gore-Tex Textile Pants The 2 layer construction makes the REVIT Defender Pro Pants suitable for comfortable riding in all types of weather. The GORE-TEX membrane with Micro Grid Backer technology will keep wind and water out and is extremely comfortable to wear. The outer shell is made from strong abrasion-resistant materials and features CE certified protectors at the knees and hips. Furthermore these pants are equipped with ventilation panels and zippers, grip panels, long and short connection zippers, and plenty of adjustment straps all incorporated for your convenience when on the road. Full disclosure, I have many Revit products so I’m biased to the positive on their products. I own the previous generation of Defender pants and jacket so I have a fair comparison to the new Defender Pro GTX.
The new Defender pro is a bit more close fitting than the previous similar sizing, partially due to the elimination of the thermal liner. In my case dropping the thermal liner improved the utility for me since I use heated gear to manage body temperature at low riding temps.
I have no problem with the new waist closure but still prefer the previous closure system.
I really like the new back venting system in the pants. In my limited use of the venting it’s superior to previous single vent on the front. The previous defender wasn’t bad in high temps but these should be much better.
I also really like the front pants pockets. I regularly forget to zip close pants pockets on the previous defender where the pocket opens sideways and these pockets are more horizontal where nothing would fall out if I forget to zip the pocket.
The current defender loses the superfabric protection on the knees. While the superfabric was nice protection it also required me to protect the bike from the abrasion from the pants. The new pants won’t be a concern.
I realize the are expensive pants but they met all my needs for long distance riding kit.
Overall, I really like both the new Defender PRO pants and jacket.

I primarily got this to go over the Cayenne Pro jacket. I've not been in rain yet but have been in 40 degree temps. Over the the Cayenne Pro it is very effective in making a high airflow jacket usable in low temps without the interior becoming clammy or wet. I can only assume it will meet the water resistance challenge when that happens.

Purchase the vest to connect to the Cayenne Pro to enhance visibility. So far it works as designed and definitely increases the visibility of the upper body while on the bike. I like the connector system used by Revit.
I've not had it long enough to determine it's long term durability or how easily it can be cleaned of road grime.

The CSOne is a quick and easy install. It produces a deeper tone at idle and growl under throttle. At highway speeds the CSOne is only slightly more noticeable than the stock system. Overall I’ve been very pleased with the unit fit and finish. Longer term use will be delayed by winter weather.

I purchased this bag to better fit a C14. I wanted something taller and more narrow to sit on the passenger seat. I like the expansion feature, side pockets and lid zipper pocket. I've not had to use the waterproof cover yet.
I have a Wolfman tank bag for some time and the build quality and features are similar to this bag.
Good stuff!

These gloves met my expectations for fit and function. I like a bit longer finger length and these gloves fit that criteria very nicely. They are very comfortable and during the last series of high 90s(F) temps they allowed for sufficient air flow for cooling.
I also like the extra lengh over the shorter sleeve gloves.
They also have a different look than regular gloves with protectiondesign.

I've been using various base wear from my running and outdoor collections. The oxygen shirt and pants are equal to my other gear but has been a bit better with air flow under my Defender jacket and pants up to temps in the 90s.
I've been using mine during the summer heat and it has been very good at keeping airflow and cooling.
Very satisfied with the product.

My first and only use of my recently purchased Shoei Neotec was on a 1000 mile Saddlesore ride. My comments and observations are solely based on this one ride (albeit a 20 hour ride). I hadn’t worn the helmet for more than about 20 minutes from the time I took it out of the box to the beginning of the ride but I found the helmet felt as good after 20 hours as it did after 20 minutes.
Two features of the helmet really surprised me.
First, I found the integrated sun visor was all I needed even when the sun is really intense. I normally wear sunglasses even with a darken helmet visor. With sunglasses on I typically have some challenges clearly seeing the GPS screen mounted below my line of sight. With the integrated sun visor a small section at the lower edge that allows a non-tinted view of my GPS screen.
Second, the top vent allows a huge amount of air flow. During the ride the temperature ranged from 23F to 68F. At the low temperature the helmet never got drafty with all the vents closed and during the warmer times even at the first setting of the top vent the air was more than adequate. I’ll be curious to see how the helmet fairs with the high temperatures experienced this past summer (100F plus routinely) but it should be very livable.
Another feature that I’m neutral about is the cheek pads. They are snug against my cheeks and it is impossible to chew anything without biting the inside of my cheek…as I found out. However, the cheek pads enhance the fit of the helmet and are not a big issue.
Despite cross winds of 20-30mph for much of the ride the helmet never got overly heavy feeling nor did my neck get tired from the sideways wind buffeting.

SAS-TEC Back Protector Cutting edge SAS-TEC material is intelligent armor constructed from visco elastic soft foam smart molecules. It has earned the highest CE rating available (CE level 2), during an impact, the armor freezes and hardens, absorbing the shock and distributing its force over a large area to reduce the risk of fractures. The protector is not destroyed by impact, but reverts back to its original state and maintains its capability to protect from multiple impacts. SAS-TEC Armor has a soft and pliable exterior (as opposed to rigid KNOX armor) which offers a great deal of comfort and mobility. This protector is anatomically designed and fitted to provide superior spine and back protection as well as the base of the neck /between the shoulder blades. Upgraded the standard protection on my Revit Defender. Fit perfectly and is very comfortable. I found the new back protector to provide a extra bit of back support on long rides. While it does add a bit of extra weight it is not noticeable when wearing the jacket. I like the feeling of additional protection and safety.
