Have had this boot for a couple of weeks and it's a great boot.
When I first got it I was afraid that it was to snug and was going to send it back. I have had other Dainese boots in 43 and they fit great so I was hesitant to send them back and get a 44. I called and talked to one of the guys and they suggested that I could take out the insert in the boot and it would give me a little extra room. That did the trick and they fit great and were still comfortable even without the insert. I'm thinking once I break them in a bit more I may be able to put the insert back in.
Either way I am very pleased with them. They look great and aren't over the top.

I was looking for another helmet to get custom painted and thought I would try something different.
I have a Corsair V which is awesome but wanted to try a different brand. I got the Shoei X-12 but wasn't crazy about the fit. Not knocking that helmet as the quality seemed awesome. I think my head is just more of an Arai shape. I sent back the Shoei and got the RXQ. I put it on....Ahhhhh, much better and typical Arai quality.
I think I will stick with Arai from here on out. I would recommend this helmet to anyone.

I ordered this a couple of days before taking a 1200 mile trip.
Revzillas usual fast shipping got it to me the day before I left on my trip.
I would say over all I am very pleased with it. Somewhere on one of the reviews I read a person said "the last mile felt just like the first mile" While I wouldn't go that far it did definitely help a great deal.
The last trip I took without it I would find myself a couple of hundred miles in to the trip moving around trying to get comfortable and even raising up in my seat for a few seconds to give my rear end a break. With the airhawk I didnt feel the need to raise up at all and just made the trip overall more comfortable. You have to make sure you don't over inflate it though. It takes a little bit to find out where you need it to be.
To me the price is a bit steep but overall its worth it.

I had been eyeballing this helmet for quite some time trying decide if I was going to pull the trigger on such a pricey lid.
I finally decided to go for it. Ordered it on a monday, got it on wed, and left on a 1300 mile trip on thur. I can honestly say it's a great helmet. The build quality is great, it's comfortable the sun visor works great. I got caught in about 4 hours of pretty hard rain and the screen didn't fog up and the helmet didn't leak. I'm just really pleased with this purchase. I would say it's a pretty quiet helmet. I ride a Multistrada 1200 which are known to have some wind noise anyway and the helmet helped with that some. I did still wear ear plugs on such a long trip. If it's in your budget this is a fantastic helmet.
Can't wait to take another trip in it.

I was looking for a pair of pants that would give me more protection then a pair of jeans or dress pants that I could wear to work and didn't shout "biker"
These pants are great. The protection isn't all that high but they definitely feel like good sturdy pants and while the hip and knee armor is soft it seems like it would do a good job in impact protection.
I would say this is a nice pair of pants for commuting.
A step above regular pants, a step or two below more aggressive riding pants.
You could wear these and 99% of people would never know you are wearing protective pants.
If you are looking for some low key protection these are a great choice.

I bought this helmet for my daughter who rides two up with me from time to time but does not ride herself.
She is very pleased with it and says the comfort and fit is good.
It is a nice quality helmet. I can't speak for the air flow etc because I can't cram a small onto my head and wouldn't wear a purple helmet anyway.
I will say I feel like I picked a good quality helmet for her and I am pleased with this helmet and would recommend it.

Arai Vector 2 Helmet - Solid The Arai Vector 2 Motorcycle Helmet is the successor to Arai's hugely popular Vector model. New features for the Vector 2 Helmet include an SAI visor similar to RX-Q and Corsair V which provides wider field of vision. A replaceable interior liner has been modified to improve air flow around the head and to provide a more comfortable fit eliminating pressure points. The ventilation system has been revamped with a larger size switch and larger rear duct which will create 50 more vacuum.. Solid Colors Frost indicates a Matte finish Diamond refers to a metallic finish with metal flake Complex Laminate Construction (CLC) shell that combines excellent shell integrity with light weight Arai's exclusive multi-density, single piece hybrid EPS liner Arai's multi-density EPS liner is like no other, comprised of up to 5 different densities in some models which is molded into a single piece The single-piece hybrid liner and its unique benefit the direct-fused contact area that each EPS call shares with its neighboring cells creates a mutual support - as one cell is crushed under impact, the surrounding cells assist with the energy absorption. (Liner pieces that are simply fitted or glued together cannot rely on such a high-level support bond.) New ACF-2 front intake vent has an oversized intake opening for better airflow, and a sliding-door mechanism to more completely close it Brow Vent Faceshield Ventilation System provides cooling air in upper face area without holes in critical forehead area of the shell or in the impact-absorbing liner material Exclusive removable 5 mm Peel - away Cheek and Temple Pad layer-provides additional level of customization and fitment Extreme peripheral view - same wider field of side to side visibility as the top-of-the-line Corsair V racing helmet (an additional 5mm on each side when compared to to previous Vector model) New tuned rear vent/wing - Air inlets provide improved interior ventilation and heat removal Hyper-Ridge band - newly sculpted lower reinforcement band provides stability and lower center of gravity for a lightweight feeling. Larger side exhaust ports to increase airflow and minimize noise Dual pivot chin vent to direct air to the rider or the shield for de-misting Reinforced shell ridges with integrated side exhaust vents Larger bottom opening for easier on and off Removable/replaceable cheek pads with 5mm peel-away layer Micro-fitting 5mm peel away cheek pad layer first introduced on the RX-Q comes standard on the Vector 2. Gives you the option of a thinner cheek pad set for a custom fit without having to purchase additional cheek pads Expanding on the 5mm peel-away cheek pads, the Arai Vector 2 is the first Arai model to offer 5mm peel away temple pads as well Interior Shape Intermediate Oval - This shape is designed for the rider whose head has a front-to-back dimension that is longer than the side-to-side dimension. This is a neutral head-shape design which tends to fit most riders well. Meets or exceeds Snell M2010 and D.O.T. standards

I got this helmet after a good bit of research and couldn't be happier with it. You can feel the quality of the helmet and know you are wearing a good lid when you put this on.
I got the frost black and it looks awesome with the dark shield.
I also have an Arai Corsair V but didn't want to spend that much on a second helmet.
The Vector 2 did not disappoint.

Dainese D-System D-Dry Jacket - sizing question

Chest size = 40 in.
Sleeve length = 24 in.
Weight = 160 lbs.
Height = 5'11"
I'm looking at either a size 50 or 52......not sure which would be the better fit.
Do these jackets tend to run true to size?
Thanks.
I'm 5'11" and 175lbs 42 chest and have this jacket in a size 54 and it fits great.
I would say you would probably go with a 52.

What is the best cold weather glove sold?

I ride in west Texas throught the winter months and need a glove with excellent protection from the cold. Not wet conditions most of the time.
I don't know if I can tell you what the "best" winter glove is as surely that is subjective i.e heated or not etc.
I will say that I have a pair of Jerico's and it is a great glove!
I live in Indiana so we have colder winters than you and they worked very well for me.
The quality is top notch which is typical Dainese.

Not the exact same jacket but I'm your exact size 5'11" 175 and wear the Dainese New Newson in size 54 and I wear it with the Dainese back protector and chest protector.
It's a good fit for me.

Multiple Connection to 3 different riders

Can 3 separate riders connect to each other concurrently. I understand rider and pillion should not have any issues but I am looking at communicating with at least 3 riders at the same time (incl. myself, ie. a to b,c, b to a,c and c to a,b)
My cousin and I both have the SMH 10s and love them. Sena has an upgrade program where you can send your unit in and for $50 they will send you a new unit that you can do software updates on, one of which is supposed to allow multiple riders (more than 2) to all talk at once. I'm not sure if they have made this upgrade yet but I know it's coming. The unit you get should have a mini USB for charging which will also allow you to to the software updates .i.e you should not have to send the one you get off to be upgraded. You should be getting the newer unit.
It is a great headset and one of the best things is how easy the controls are to use even with a glove on.

Meets or exceeds Snell M2010 and D.O.T. standards

Is the Arai Frost (matte) finish difficult to keep clean?

I have heard that this finish smudges easily, what is the best way to clean (or keep clean) this finish?
I have had mine for just a few weeks and just use a damp cloth which works fine.
I use plexus on my other helmets and will on this on too, I just haven't needed to yet.
I don't find it hard to keep clean at all.

How do these work along with ear plugs?

I always ride with ear plugs. I've always been reluctant to use wireless units for that reason. Do these work well through a set of ear plugs.
My cousin and I got a set of these.
I don't wear ear plugs but he does and he says they work great.
We are both very pleased with this unit.
Top notch

Sizing

I wear a Medium in AlpineStars Atlas and SP2 gloves, and I fine the palm sizing OK, but the finger length, especially, the pinky too short. Would you suggest a Medium or Large? Thanks.
I would go with the medium for sure.
The pinky on the 4 stroke seems to have plenty of room.
