I love this helmet. I have been wearing a Shoei Quest for the last 5 years and got really tired of taking off the helmet everytime I wanted to talk to someone, drink water, or just get a cool breeze (I live in Arizona). You know the drill, stop, take off the gloves, the glasses, d-rings, have a drink of water, then revrese. Yeah. So, I knew that I wanted a good quality, good fitting, high end helmet. So I spent a few months doing research and no surprise, Shoei won. Shoei fits me better than any other helmet I have owned and the quality is superb. There was no doubt that I was going to upgrade to a modular helmet, and after a lot of searching, trying on helmets, and comparing comfort, I was convinced that Shoei was for me. I ordered my new Imminent hi viz from Revzilla because they have equal prices to others dealers, but the customer service is so far superior that I likely would have ordered from Zilla even if they were a few dollars more! $677.00 is a lot of money, but the question you have to ask yourself is....how much is your head worth?
The Imminent is great because, to be honest, the solid colors are boring. My Quest was great, but boring! The Imminent not only had attractive graphics, but it also contained neon yellow/green. Besides, Revzilla gave me $30.00 in Revzilla bucks which I used to purchase a pair of Hi Viz mesh gloves for $29.95. The results? I paid $7.40 for shipping and $0.00 for the gloves! Way cool. Now, I ride a BMW R1200RT, which pretty much conceals the driver from the front, so anything I can do to draw the attention of the cagers is a plus.

First of all, I love Pirelli Angel tires. I have a sport touring bike and I have been riding on Pirelli Angel ST's. I got approximately 9000 miles out of the rear tire, and about the same on the front. The Angel GT A spec is perfect for a heavier bike, but the standard GT is aimed at a lighter sport bike. What do I like best about the Pirelli Angels? Handling. The transition from full left to full right and back is amazingly effortless and sure footed. The Angel GT's have the bonus of being dual compound tires which will add plenty of miles to the life of the tire. I have ridden Bridgestones, Dunlops, Metzlers, and one set of Michellin PR2's and I absolutely prefer the Pirelli's. Tire preference is like Art...what one person loves, another hates, lol. But I heartily recommend these tires.

What I really LOVE about this set of tires is the transitions from full left lean to full left lean while in the "twisties". The tires are made with one compound instead of two, and uses different belt tensions. This, IMHO makes the transitions from left to right and back again, and again, very EFFORTLESS. I have ridden several tires, i.e. Metzlers, Conti's, and Bridgestones, but have never felt so confident as I do with the Pirelli Angel ST's. I cannot speak to the traction in wet conditions. I live in Arizona and can speak of traction in dry, sandy, rough pavement conditions, and could not be happier with the performance of these tires in those conditions.

I love this tire. I like the idea of the tire having two different steel belts in the carcass instead of two different rubber compounds on the tire. The tire handles amazingly well in dry situations. I live in Arizona, so wet performance will have to wait for quite awhile to critique. Pirelli is the parent company of Metzeler and the tire technology on the Metzeler Roadtec Interact (Z6 & Z8) are the same as the Pirelli ST. Only the tire tread is different. I have the Metzeler Z6 interact on the front, and the Angel ST on the rear, and the handling is amazing for a BMW R1200RT. I am sure the tire life will exceed my expectations.

I received my order today and found that there is no documentation for this product included in the shipping package. I called Revzilla and spoke with a customer service agent who helped me orient the armor. Apparently, the smooth side of the armor goes toward your knee, and the bumpy side faces out. That being said, the armor is very light and very thin. I have seen demonstrations on how this armor works and I have no fears about the armor being protective and safe for riding.
I replaced the foam knee protection in my Firstgear Mesh tec 2.0 pants, which felt a bit flimsy to me and did not inspire much confidence.

Not too dark

The shield appears to be quite dark from the outside, but surprisingly light when looking out. At first I was disappointed, but later, I was coming back from a late afternoon ride, and it started to get dark. I did not carry a clear shield, but found I did not need one as this shield allowed plenty of light in at dusk.

Shoei Qwest Helmet The Shoei Qwest Helmet was built with a focus on minimizing helmet weight, decreasing noise and optimizing fit, comfort and protection to bring a new level of comfort to touring helmets. Featuring a slightly round oval internal shape, the Qwest is manufactured with 4 individual shell sizes to keep the helmet as low-profile as possible. The smaller the helmet shell, the lighter the helmet weight. The Shoei Qwest Helmet also uses the Shoei's CW-1 visor technology with the Q.R.S.A system. This system guarantees a tight seal at the face shield by pulling the shield back to contact the opening seal evenly. The Qwest also touts an extra-wide eyeport for additional peripheral vision so you can more easily take in the world around you. Snell M2015 and DOT ratings means the Qwest is no compromise when it comes to safety. Aerodynamic Shell Design: Aerodynamic properties maximized through extensive wind tunnel and feedback from professional riders Dual-Layer EPS liner enhances impact absorption and ventilation Four shell and six EPS liner sizes increase fit options that help to comfortably fit most head sizes Molded air spoiler reduces drag and lift as well as diminishes weight pressure on the neck while riding at high speeds Ventilation System: Upper air intake vent positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior Large upper intake vent positioned to maximize performance in high wind conditions Easy to operate large lower intake vent Lower air intake/defroster vent reduces shield fogging and increases ventilation Rear/neck outlets allow for effective air exhaust Breath guard and chin curtain included Lightweight Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+): High performance fiber materials are combined with extremely elastic organic fibers to create a shell structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid and resilient Interior: 3D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads Cheek pads are replaceable or removable for maintenance Eyeglass-compatible interior Standard chin strap clip neatly secures chin strap CW-1 Shield and Q.R.S.A. An awesome helmet!

This is my first review, so be gentle, lol. This helmet is amazing. I have owned at least 50 helmets in my time riding. Some more expensive than the Qwest, some less. But, I must say, none of them impressed me right out of the box like the Qwest.
One of my biggest peeves about full face helmets is that they can be terribly noisy. With vents here, there, everywhere, some added on, some look like they were poorly glued on, but always adding to noise inside the helmet. So, let's start with first impressions: Right out of the box, I noticed a beautiful finish on the helmet, and the perfect fit of all plastic vent controls. I observed that the front vent, nicely incorporated into the brow of the helmet, was glove friendly, and simple to open and close. As I viewed the rear vents, I was amazed and pleased to see that you can open and close the exhaust vents easily. They are nicely incorporated into the rear of the helmet, and, as state previously, easy to operate with gloves.
Next, is fit. Snug at first, not tight, just snug. But it makes you feel "at home" and safe. No kidding, I mean exactly what I say. The shield closes with an authoritative snap, and I have great confidence that this helmet will, in fact, be much quieter than the HJC AC-12 Carbon that I am replacing.
Last but not least...WEIGHT!. Coming from a full carbon helmet, I expected more weight. This is light and neutral on my head.
I like this helmet a great deal. It is designed for those of us who do not ride in a tucked position, and therefore, the ventilation will work for Sport Touring, Touring, and naked bike riders. Oh and let's not forget the price line. This, is perfect in price. A great, mid range, quiet, full featured helmet for less than $350.00 [Shoei Qwest Solid Color - Light Silver Helmet]. Can you say BARGAIN!
My review of Revizilla will be much more positive than this, lol.
