Heidenau K60 Scout Rear Tire A true 50/50 dual sport tire, the Heidenau K60 Scout brings a proven balance of performance on- and off-road. With an improved tread and compound, the Heidenau K60 Scout dual sport tires deliver better cornering stability and wet weather grip on the pavement, while delivering off-road as well. The chevron style tread pattern is similar to full knobby designs which provides lots of open space between the tread blocks to route sand, mud and water from the contact patch while constantly keeping some rubber in contact with the road as the tire rotates. This tire is a stand-out as it does not sacrifice on-road longevity and adhesion to the pavement for off-road traction. A difficult feat for any tire to accomplish. TL Tubeless TT Tube Type Tire Please Note The K60 Scout tread pattern will vary depending on tire size.

This tire was a bit noisy at first, but then the noises went away as the miles piled on. Now, at 10,200 miles they are only noisy for a bit when leaned over, They have another 1,000 miles left on them. I cannot feel any vibration anymore. Grips very well in dry and good in wet. Good off-pavement traction, as long as you remember they aren't knobbies. But they make up for it with pavement traction. Sure they are pricey to purchase, but if one considers the cost per mile, they are easily the cheapest tire around.

It was noisy at first and at speeds less than 25 mph, I could feel every knob. It grips well in dry for a 60/40 tire, but while it is good, it isn't a fantastic sports tire in wet. More than adequate for an adventure touring bike. The noise slowly goes away as the miles pile up. Mine now has 10,200 miles on pavement, gravel and dirt, and there is still some tread (maybe 700-900 miles)left. Handling is a bit squirrely now since it is worn a bit flat, but I am so used to it, it makes no difference. They are pricey to buy, but if one calculates the price per mile, they are the cheapest tire around.

Great Dual Purpose Boots

Great boots. Great grip, well made and comfortable. Will make good Fall, Winter and Spring boots. As Summer boots, they are very hot. The grip is almost too good on serrated footpegs, one always has to lift the foot off the footpeg in order to move it into position to shift, and then lift it out of position because the bottom tread sticks. This could be a good thing at other times however. They are good for up to 1/2 mile walks off the bike, any longer and I would get sore legs. I would recommend them.
Pros Rugged, Comfortable
