Icon Overlord Textile Jacket With all the pattern engineering of the Overlord leather, but executed in a nylon chassis, the Overlord textile represents possibly the best value in textile motorcycle jackets. The durable nylon chassis, combined with large panels of breathable Fighter mesh, provides valuable protection while maintaining comfort. A full complement of internal CE impact protectors confirm the jackets legitamacy. Finally, the Overlord's precurved arms and strategic flex zones position the rider in an sportbike oriented attack posture. The Overlord textile - ready for whatever the streets may hold. Icon attack fit Durable nylon textile chassis Removable Icon CE field armor impact protector elbow and shoulder Removable Icon dual-density foam back pad Gathered elastic flex panels on elbows and shoulders Strategically placed fighter mesh panels for ventilation Removable insulated wind resistat vest Upgradable to stryker CE back protector

First off, plenty of the reviews say that this jacket has good airflow. I currently have a Contra Jacket and purchased this jacket as a replacement. I really was going for a more fitted jacket that has good airflow since I live in South FL. I bought the blue version and must say that it looked amazing!! I could not have been happier. I'm 6'1, 200 and bought the Large. The chart said I should have the XL, but the sleeves were too long. Ok, now to the point… My Contra breathes MUCH better than this jacket!!! I was constantly sweating front, back, and down my arms. I always rode without the liner, and just could not feel the airflow. I wear my Contra in summer/winter/day/night with much more comfort. Bottom line is if you are in a hot climate and looking for something with good airflow, then you should give the Contra a try first. It really does breathe better. If airflow is not your primary concern than the Overlord jacket has style, fit, and protection. I returned mine and stuck with my Contra.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Does the white textile version of this jacket clean up well?

I'm really thinking about purchasing this jacket in white. I know that keeping it white will be impossible, but if it cleans up well then I'll be more inclined to buy the white one.
Tough question!! I had the Blue which has plenty of white in it and white sleeves. I returned mine due to lack of airflow. The material seemed like you could scrub it or wash it if you had to. I was not that concerned about it when I had it. Just a note, I too am in FL and really like the airflow in the Contra over this jacket. The Overlord just made me sweat...

Good Luck

Textile Icon Overlord - Good at High temperatures?

This jacket seems perfect for all needs - just concened about high temperatures in the 90's. Should I keep on looking for a mesh jacket instead of this one?
Just reviewed my experience with the Overlord Textile Jacket... I am in South FL where it gets in the 90's and really like my Contra instead of the Overlord. The Contra has GREAT airflow compared to the Overlord. I liked the look of the Overlord, but returned it keeping my Contra. Plus the Contra has full sleeves on the thermal liner so it's pretty good in coller temperatures as well. The Overlord has a vest style liner. It might ok in cooler weather, but only because the arms don't breath well at all.

Good Luck.
