 Arai Signet-Q Hi-Viz Neon Helmet
Arai Signet-Q Hi-Viz Neon Helmet
Arai Signet-Q Hi-Viz Neon Helmet The Signet-Q takes all the favorite features of the RX-Q and create a whole new series based on all the successes. On the outside, the Arai Signet-Q Helmet looks very similar to it's namesake, the RX-Q, but on the inside you can see and feel the difference. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. Additional Features of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet Both the top vent set and side exhaust cowls are direct carryovers from the RX-Q Brow vent ducting redirects to flow air across the temples DDL-4 exhaust vent to the 10mm wider eye port (5mm on each side) Long Oval Fit SAI MAX-Vision Brow Vent shield Clear Pin Lock Max-Vision Brow Vent face shield Included with the helmet Elongated shell adds 5mm from front to back Long-Oval shape helps prevent Hot-Spot Multi-Density Single piece EPS liner Removable, replaceable, washable interior Dry-Cool Surface material for rapid displacement of heat and moisture away from your head and into the ventilation airflow for added comfort while riding and a quick dry between rides 5mm peel-away temple pads adds another level of customization, giving the helmet interior a little extra width when needed Enhanced for customizable micro fitment interior without the need to purchase extra interior components New FCS (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design Innovative and exclusive spring support adds just the right amount of pressure when needed while being worn Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards

This is a great helmet in terms of fit (for us long-oval folks) and quality. Venting is good and visor operation is very smooth.
I want to talk about the color, though. It's a bright yellow, yes, but it's not really the kind of extreme fluorescent yellow that is commonly called "Hi-Viz". I have the Rev'It Tornado Hi-Viz jacket, which is a true Hi-Viz yellow, and this helmet clashes with it because it's a much more natural shade of yellow. If you're buying the Signet-Q to wear with a true Hi-Viz jacket, then I'd get it in a neutral color like white, silver, or black. If your jacket is black, then this yellow Signet will look fine with it.
Another complaint I have with the Signet-Q is all the big logo stickers all over it. There are THREE big "Arai" logos, (front, left rear, and right rear) a DOT logo and a Snell logo, and probably some other stuff I don't remember. It all clutters up what is fundamentally a good-looking helmet! I wish Arai could be a little more discreet and not slap so many big logos and whatnot all over the thing.

I am a perfect size 43 in European shoes, 9.5 in US. And I have a wide foot. So I thought this TCX boot in size 9 US/ 43 Euro would be great for me. The width is fine, but it's way too long! Plenty of extra length ahead of my toes, that makes it hard to work the shifter on my bike. Maybe the next size down would fit... but I've never worn an 8.5 in any kind of shoe, ever, since my feet stopped growing! And then maybe the width would be too tight, anyway. Something is fishy about how TCX sizes their boots; how can a 43 be way too long for me in their boots when in other companies' footwear it's my perfect size?

 Sidi Vertigo Mega Gore-Tex Boots
Sidi Vertigo Mega Gore-Tex Boots
Shock Absorbing Heel Cup Three stage, shock absorbing heel cup molded in three different densities of plastic is one element that sets the Vertigo series apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection. Lining Each Vertigo series boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to breath out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Vertigo series boots are flly lined with Sidis own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. Tecno VR System The Vertigo series of boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob the internal onofilament line will evenly close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided. Replaceable Shin Deflector and Scuff Pad The Vertigo Series offers interchangeability with its front shin guard and toe scuff pads. Choose from carbon or nylon shin piece, and either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff. I wear a 43 in street shoes and a 44 in another company's boots. I went with a 43 in this boot based on the Sidi size chart. It fits all right in terms of width (since I have a very wide foot), but the length front-to-back is WAY too long. I get massive heel lift and my foot can slide forward and backward. Not a big deal when riding, but makes the boots less than ideal for walking around off the bike. The waterproofness, style, and quality is good, but I can't understand why it feels so much longer than a size 43 should be. This is a good boot, but you should really try it on to make sure you're getting the right size.

Does "CE Level 2 performance" mean that this product is actually CE Level 2 certified?

Or does the odd wording choice here mean that it is not, in fact, CE Level 2 certified?

Some manufacturers like to imply that their products are CE certified when they're really not; I'd like to know what the case is here. Thanks.

SAS-TEC Back Protector Cutting edge SAS-TEC material is intelligent armor constructed from visco elastic soft foam smart molecules. It has earned the highest CE rating available (CE level 2), during an impact, the armor freezes and hardens, absorbing the shock and distributing its force over a large area to reduce the risk of fractures. The protector is not destroyed by impact, but reverts back to its original state and maintains its capability to protect from multiple impacts. SAS-TEC Armor has a soft and pliable exterior (as opposed to rigid KNOX armor) which offers a great deal of comfort and mobility. This protector is anatomically designed and fitted to provide superior spine and back protection as well as the base of the neck /between the shoulder blades. Is there a size for this protector that will fit in the Rev'it Men's Tornado jacket (size 50)?

I have this protector in my Rev'it Men's Turbine jacket, size 50. I have the Tornado HV jacket in the same size, but it looks like the back protector pouch on the Tornado is smaller. is there a size for this protector that will fit in the Tornado? Thanks.

Should I get a 48 or a 50

I am looking to replace my Turbine jacket with the Tornado. With the Turbine, the size 52 was too big for me, and the size 50 was a pretty good fit, but maybe just a little snug.

The video review of the Tornado says it runs roomier than other Rev'it jackets. So I'm wondering if the Tornado size 50 will be too big for me and I should go with the size 48... or, will it be just a little bigger than a Turbine size 50, giving me a perfect fit? Thanks.
