Shark Speed-R Helmet - Solid Colors SHARK is proud to present a new philosophy. Utilizing all SHARKs expertise in safety, innovation and function the SPEED-R is a helmet specifically designed to meet the passionate demands of un-faired motorcycle riders. Double blade air spoiler positioned at the rear of the Speed-R, it allows the air to flow above and below the blade, hence the dual venturi effect to extract warm air from the helmet. Spoiler/stabilizer at its rear base trim the Speed-R has a spoiler, which stabilizes the helmet and the cancels the buffering effect. The immediate benefit is no air turbulence running inside the helmet and greater stability at a steady speed. Features Includes Pinlock shield and lens Latest generation composite long fibre construction Integrated, drop down sun visor Extensive wind-tunnel testing to perfect aerodynamics and ventilation system for use with naked road bikes Double cavity rear spoiler creates faster air circulation to drastically reduce fogging Rear deflector stabilizer reduces helmet buffeting Faceshield varies in thickness and is optically correct, scratch resistant and anti-fog coated Completely remove and washable COOLMAX lining Shark Easy Fit glasses system offers wearers a comfort lining which has a pre-tted system to accommodate all types of glasses ECE 2205 and DOT approved Two shell sizes

Good Start:
When I opened the box, played with all the levers, and tested the fit I was quite happy. It's an attractive but not overly aggressive or flashy helmet. The weight was a bit more than I expected, but not excessive. Packaging and the included helmet bag was on par for a $400 helmet. Visibility and comfort were nice. I'm afraid that's all I have that's nice to say about the helmet.
Critical Failure:
Within a days use of the product the drop down sun visor mechanism broke. The tiny tab that held it in place failed. This was extremely frustrating. Thankfully, it was still cold and riding weather was still few and far between. Standard Shark warranty service is 4 weeks at least. Revzilla was easy to work with and accepted my return with no fuss. A month goes by and I had my helmet back... temporarily fixed.
I return home from an extended work trip to find it's riding season. I ride my bike for at least 4 trips a day when the weather permits. The sun visor mechanism failed four days into my work week! Totally unacceptable. Thankfully, Revzilla customer service came through and I'm moving on to a new brand.
Other Gripes:
The visor seal is very firm, but air seepage is persistent all around. In the summer you could call it good air flow. In winter I'd be concerned.
Shark logo on front are just cheap stickers. Simply bumping them with gloves while trying to work vent levers can lift them. Very annoying, and low quality feel.

Versatile, well priced, good looking. Very functional. The build quality could definitely be better. However if you are looking at the competition, especially when the price is concerned... it is easy to get over. Bag works great for me, has decent storage, fit my 06 GSXR and my 09 Triumph Street Triple.

If you are looking for a mesh jacket for the summer you definitely should consider this one. Its comfortable and breathable, I've been wearing it on some of the hottest days in Philly and I've been about as cool as one could be while protected. The price is also very good when compared to similar Dainese and Alpinestars jackets. But regardless of what jacket you buy, when you are stopped you will get warm.
Appearance: I think the jacket is reasonably attractive. I'm a fan of the lack of ridiculous logos, I'm not into being a rolling advertisement. Also I was happy to find the reflective piping.
A note about fitment: if you are heavier built definitely order larger sizes. The shoulders were a little cramped and the neck and arms are at their largest adjustment for me at a larger size. The adjustably was notably better than aforementioned more expensive jackets.
Pros Summer Use, Great Value, Fashionable, Comfortable
Cons Cramped
Yes, I recommend this product.

These are reasonably priced, fashionable Alipinestars gloves. Seems like extra material where you need it: palms, wrist, knuckles. Very comfortable, especially on hot days. My only complaint is that the wrist strap seam tore when I tugged on it pretty hard in the open direction. It won't rip off or anything, but its a bit of an eyesore.

Yes, I recommend this product.
