...That zipper...
I bought this on sale and couldn't pass up the deal. The jacket flows lots of air as long as you are moving (even walking). I am 6' tall, 195 lbs, and went with a large after watching the review video. It feels a bit restrictive after the XL Cortech I've been wearing for 7 years. That's OK though because unlike the Cortech, this one feels like the armor will stay in place in the event of a get-off. The collar was annoyingly snug at first, but now that the material has softened up a bit it's fine... I also ordered the Knox TP2 Advance X CE Back Protector which fits in the pocket perfectly and doesn't affect the fit much
But the zipper... It's small and it is on the opposite side from what I'm used to in men's jackets. After a month, I still have trouble getting it started, and when it's dark it can be VERY frustrating. Rev'it needs to do something about this. A larger gauge zipper would make this jacket really great... And stop putting it on the women's side!
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is my first Pilot Road 4. I got the GT for use on my 600lb R1200RT. I'm a big fan of Michelin tires having previously used PR2s and 3s. As far as front tires go, this may be the best so far. For me, it's quieter than the 2, and wears better than the 3. I tend to be hard on the sides of my tires and in this respect, the 3 disappointed... Only have about 5,000 miles on this one so far, but it looks like I'll get in the neighborhood of 10k.
As far as wet traction... Someone who lives where it rains would have better info on that. I live in Southern California. I think it might have rained here 20 years or so ago, but my memory is a bit foggy...
Yes, I recommend this product.

Got these for the wife. She wanted "a simple, leather, middleweight" glove... These fit the bill perfectly. I mean, look at what they are called!
She is very pleased. Wore them in the rain with temps in the 40s(F) and she said her hands were not cold. Keep in mind that she is a passenger and so able to tuck her hands between us, thus keeping them out of the airflow. For a rider, they would probably be comfortable into the 60s though, depending of course on your tolerance to cold.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Icon D30 Replacement Knee Pads An advanced, patented polymer, CE-rated D3O impact protectors are the latest advancement in protective armor. D3O impact protectors utilize intelligent molecules that lock together on impact. Because of this, the impact protector can be made thinner and lighter, making a jacket more comfortable and easier to wear. However, this decreased size does not come at the expense of impact protection. Will fit any ICON Pants that were originally equipped with ICON Field Armor Knee Pads. Sold as a pair. Dimensions 143mm X 227mm (approx. 5.6 x 8.9) 109 grams each (3.8 oz) 10mm thick

I picked up the whole set of D3O armor from Icon for my Tourmaster Transition 2 jacket and Venture overpants.
What I found was, the shoulder armor fit very well, but the knee and elbow armor was too small for the pockets in both garments.
What I ended up doing was swapping the knee armor into the jacket sleeves. They fit quite well!
Now I just need to figure out what to do with this elbow armor...

Tried these in my Transition 2 jacket and found them to be too small for the armor pockets. The flopped around like a couple dead fish in my sleeves.
They probably work just fine in Icon jackets, but I do not recomend them for Tourmaster jackets
However, since I also go the Icon D3O knee armor, and they are slightly larger, I tried those in the jacket sleeves and... Success!.

I picked these up as an upgrade for my Tourmaster Transition 2 Jacket. They fit in the shoulder armor pockets perfectly and are very comfortable.
Are they as protective as the original plastic on padding armor?
I expect so, but since I never had a get-off with the original armor, I'll never know...

Now that I'm back from a 4,000 mile trip, I'm ready to review this tire. First impression: Twitchy. By which I mean that when I first pulled out of my driveway after installing it, I felt like my BMW R1200RT was going to fall over on it's side. This tire really "falls" into a turn and it took a couple weeks to get used to it. Now I know what you're thinking... I've put many new tires on my bikes and I've never had one dive into turns like this one. I usually have to put pressure on the outside bar to keep the bike from turning too tightly. Now that I have become accustomed to it, I don't even notice. Grip is very good for my 600 lb bike. I have experienced no slippage on wet or dry pavement, even when riding less than "sedately" (which is a frequent thing). After over 4,000 miles on everything from interstate to twisty roads in the Rockies to even a bit of gravel, the tire looks barely used. My one nit that I have to pick is the center groove which tends to "track" on rain grooves and catches on pavement irregularities. It hasn't upset the bike at all, but it can be disconcerting if you're not prepared for it. I will buy these again. Having said all that, I hope these tires don't get too popular... I'd hate to see the price go up!
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a really nice warm weather glove. Comfortable right out of the box (bag) and flows plenty of air, even behind my RT's fairing. Just be sure you order 1 size up from what you normally wear... For me this was easy since I know (from watching video reviews!) that I wear 1 size larger than Anthony does... ;-)

I've been running Michelins on my RT ever since I got it in '07, and I've always been very happy with them. So when I found myself in need of a rear tire without the money to pay for my usual, I did some research. Looked at the Shinko Raven, read reviews, and talked to a couple guys I know who have used them. What I found was, nobody had anything bad to say about them. So I decided to give em a try. I don't do track days on my RT, but I do ride pretty "spiritedly" on local mountain roads. I have only 1100 miles on it so far, but I've found it to be just as good for my needs as anything I've used before. I ride two up about 30% of the time with an extra 150 - 200 lbs (including my wife) on the bike. We just did 1000 miles this past weekend and the 009 Raven performed very well, wet, dry, or sandy. Put me down as not having one bad thing to say about them too!
I put Tread Life at "average", but I'm nowhere near the end of life for this tire. I'll have to revisit once it's used up.
To be clear, I only have the rear. I cannot speak for the front...
Yes, I recommend this product.

I was torn between these and another short "mesh" style glove, but I like the styling of these better, so I pulled the trigger on them. My hand measured a perfect Large according to the size chart, but when the gloves arrived (in only two days!) they seemed a bit tight. I wore them around the house for about 15 minutes before my fingers started going numb. Exchanged for XL and now my hands are happier... Except, the "pinky" finger is about 1/2" too long and the thumb 1/4" too long. Maybe I have wierd hands? Had to do some "surgery" to remove excess material that was causing "hot spots" on a couple of my fingers... Anyway, I wore them on a 300+ mile ride to test them out. They're not bad, but what I found is that my hands got clammy even though it wasn't particularly warm (60s F) and there doesn't seem to be much air flowing through them for mesh gloves. Maybe I'll revisit this after I've worn them in the heat... Too late to return them now, but next time I'm looking for summer gloves I will try something else... I still like the way they look though.
