I chose this over the 12 volt jacket liner because of the price difference also I wanted to use it for work and was afraid of ruining the cuffs (I have a dirty job). I purchased the fleece model first and exchanged it for this one because it was too small and after seeing the fleece realized it would get dirty far too easy, don't use Revzilla's size chart go to Gerbings web site, the 7v sizing is different than the 12v.
This is an excellent product, I have not used it on the bike yet due to the snow outside but have been using it every day for work. It puts out plenty of nice steady heat and the collar heating element is my new best friend when its bellow zero. The battery lasts for a lot longer than I expected and the vest puts out a lot more heat than I thought was possible with such a small battery. I find that I leave it on low most of the time, I dress for the weather and the heat stays trapped in the layers.
I would have given this 5 stars except for two issues, not complaints just items I would change. The zippers seem kind of flimsy, with a 3 year warranty on the garment this is not a big concern. It is a very high quality product otherwise. Also the placement of the battery, I would have placed it in a breast pocket, a more protected spot with easier access. these are minor issues and altogether I am very happy with this purchase. I can see this making my 30 mile commute come spring a great deal more comfortable.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet The new Schuberth C3 Pro has been redesigned to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets ever produced. The rear spoiler, which has been further optimized in extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet which also demonstrates outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world. The C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased ranges and better FM radio reception prepared for the fully integrated communication unit SRC-System. The inner lining, made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool, has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned and sets new benchmarks with respect to comfort. New or Updated Features Redesigned shell is more aerodynamic and provided more downforce at higher speeds with little buffeting Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph C3 84 dB(A) Interior liner has been completely redesigned with fewer seams and a more universal, interior fit Improved EPS with integrated antenna for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range New micro-lock ratchet chin strap Larger reflective panels on neckroll Improved faceshield ratcheting Integrated sun visor has a new look and improved quality Acoustics A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is quiet. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro at 82 dBA one of the quietest helmets of all. Acoustics package makes helmet quiet Installation of a wind deflector enables the aeroacoustics and consequently the noise level to be improved still further. Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes) Outer Shell The outer shell of the C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight. Shell material S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds Upward lift 0! Directionally stable No oscillatory tendency No buffeting Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell SRC-System Ready The C3 Pro is by default equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception for you, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost reception and a Bluetooth connection. Optimum reception at all times Bluetooth antenna for wireless mobile, GPS and intercom connections to other SRC-System owners FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception EPS The helmet shell of special EPS foam is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution and maximum safety. Made of specially optimized EPS foam Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption Inner Lining A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to the innovative Comfort Fit concept ensures that the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials and the additional use of Interpower coatings also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system. COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30C) Optimized fit Variable for effective ventilation Adjustable for summer/winter Allergen-free Antibacterial Removable comfort cheek pads and head band pads Ventilation The C3 Pro is equipped with a further development of the proven C3 ventilation system. Thanks to the new design of the ventilation elements, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam shell and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensure that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area. A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) especially developed by SCHUBERTH is provided as a safety feature in every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt The consequences of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident are reduced Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides Micro-lock ratchet lock Faceshield The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without use of tools. City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging DOT and ECE certified.

I have always owned $100 or less helmets, after finally breaking down, after 30 years of riding. I purchased a Arai Profile, $500 later, and to much disappointment, I found it to be so loud It was unbearable to ride without earplugs. Of course you cant return helmets after use so Ive spent the last several years suffering. After researching and trying on dozens of helmets (The C3 did not fit due to my head shape) I ordered a Lazar Monaco. This was a great helmet, but not for the cooler climates here in northern new England, Although I loved the shield, there were far to many gaps around the base letting in air, and I'm sure noise. I returned it and ordered a C3 Pro after watching and reading all the reviews. Fit, finish and build quality are excellent. It also has a very small shell size and is lighter than my Arai full face. The best part is the silence. I got the impression from the reviews that this helmet was quiet due to blocking noise, that is not the case. This helmet does a great job blocking the outside air, which of course cuts down outside noise, however the silence for me comes from the fact it makes very little noise of its own. I would say the amount of wind noise is cut easily in half between this and my old helmet. I still wear ear plugs but I'm not forced too.
The only complaint, and not really a complaint more an observation is the internal shield. This is the first helmet I have owned with an internal shield and I was excited to not have to fuss with my sunglasses, only to find that on my R1200RT due to the mirror location the sun in the morning reflects directly up into the gap below the internal sun shield. Why don't these come out further and all the way down. Its almost better to leave it up due to the high contrast. Perhaps Schuberth will come out with a chromatic like the Lazar......

Large
After an exhausting amount of research, I decided on this boot, due mostly to the positive reviews here at Revzilla. I ordered one size large, after returning a pair of Dainese Fulcrum that were too small. The fit is perfect, I really like the ease and speed of putting them on. They need a little time too soften up for shifting, a couple hundred miles was plenty. There seemed to be some complaints about the zippers being on the outside. I prefer the zipper location as it does not scratch the motorcycle or catch on the pegs, etc when moving to the standing position. Great cold weather boot up to about 80 degrees.
