The AFX FX-39 so far has been a good helmet for the price and looks even better with the mirrored shield. One downside to the helmet is the chintzy pivot hardware. The replacement shield requires you to snap off the shield pivot and snap it onto the new shield. This requires some patience, careful use of a flathead screwdriver, and some luck (to keep from breaking it). Do yourself a favor and order the pivot kit listed below. It'll make a shield swap go faster, and provide a backup in case it breaks.

Does the shield (afx-39ds) come with the recommended ratchet kit 0133-0602? Afx rep recom quick change less likely to damage original
