Alpinestars Bionic Jacket for Bionic Support (BNS) Alpinestars' Bionic Jacket provides unrivaled impact protection to the upper body and has been specifically designed to combine with Alpinestars' state-of-the-art Bionic Neck Support (BNS). Unlike other jacket protectors on the market, the Bionic Jacket's bespoke design enables integration with the BNS so that it performs to its maximum potential in all riding conditions. GP elbow and shoulder protectors. Ventilated, molded PU and PE chest pads and removable Bionic Race Back Protector. CE certified (Elbow and Shoulder conform to EN1621-1 / Back protector conforms to EN 1621-2 Level 1). Removable bionic back protector redesigned to accept most neck brace systems. Ergonomic 5 plate construction contours to follow the natural curve of the back with plates which lock to lessen overextension of the back. Improved bio-foam materials on bionic back protector increase breathability and ventilation. 3 panel sleeve eliminates the need for extra straps on elbow pads. 100 lycra collar trim. Wider hip straps on the integrated kidney belt eliminate bunching around waist. Longer overall length keeps the jacket from riding up. Multi panel removable sleeves. Vented stretch mesh main body fabric. Locking front zipper.

This is a little more expensive than similar options, but it is worth the extra dollars. The protection is great. The BNS system is a fantastic added bonus. This will fit a wide variety of body types, so you don't have to be too picky with the sizing. The kidney straps act as a corset, and can really squeeze you tight if that is what you prefer. My favorite feature is the removable sleeves. Just two zippers and this becomes a short sleeve shirt. It leaves your elbows and forearms expose, but it's great for those super hot Florida days. My only complaints are the wide neck opening. it feels like a stretched out t-shirt, so i wish the neck opening was a little smaller, but it doesn't effect anything other than feel and appearance. There are some internal seams that are a bit rough and can sometimes feel a little itchy on the bare skin. Very minimal complaints...

I am not sure how anyone below could complain about wind noise with an open helmet, but for what this helmet is, it is great. The style is great. The muzzle can be a bit tricky to attach without a mirror at first. If you are in to half helmets, etc. this is the only one I would ever wear.

I love this helmet, simple as that. The only thing I can critique is the D-ring closure and the price. At this price point, I'd like to see a better closure system. Something like a quick release/ratchet. This helmet should cost about $100 less than what it does, and probably would if they'd cut back on the frills. Two visors, a cleaning kit, a poster, color booklets, decals, hand tool, sweet helmet bag, fancy box and packaging...all this stuff adds up and isn't really necessary, but it felt like Christmas morning when I opened it up and kept getting surprised with the little goodies. As nice as they are, just put a helmet in a cardboard box and I'll be equally happy with the $ I saved.
As always, revzilla's service was phenomenal and the videos on each product are a key selling feature for me.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I just finished a 9 hour round trip with this pack. I was able to fit my service dress and 2 ABUs with room to spare. The pack stays securely to your back with zero shifting or lifting, even at speeds in excess of 100mph.
The armbands can be a bit time consuming and cumbersome to strap on and off. They are Velcro but its hard to hold one side still and pull the other side tight for a snug fit, especially since you can only use one arm. They are detachable so that is nice for those who may not want them on there as they are cosmetic and for visibility purposes only.
Overall, best pack I've owned. I am just unclear if the gray color meets mil spec. It's reflective but not high vis in daylight.

I bought this along with the fixed shield version to mount to my Bell 500 helmet. The lens is a light smoke, so you can still see through slightly. I really liked the visor at first, but during my first ride, the ratcheting system weakened and the visor blows up every time you turn your head. turn your head back and it slaps back down in your face...making lane changes a pain in the rear. So unless you plan on sticking to city streets, find a different visor. I looked but see no way of tightening the ratchets.
