I decided I wanted a one piece suit as I have a long commute to work in the dark and was looking for something I could wear year round that was waterproof and hi viz. We get a lot of rain in south Louisiana! After looking over the suits available, I decided on the Phantom. My wife decided on the color.
I'm 6', 175/180 and the size large fits me just fine with work clothes and a sweatshirt. I find I'm comfortable with this combo down to the mid to lower forties ambient temps. Colder than that I'll wear the liner that comes with the suit. When I use the liner the suit is definitely snugger but still doesn't impair any movement.
I've been in some driving rain storms and never had a drop of water get through or in the suit. Very happy with that! I'll note that I'm riding a R1100RT, so my bike has a windshield and fairing which offers some rain protection in itself. Still, the suit does it's job.
In summer temps here (upper 90's/100 with high humidity)...well, I'll admit the suit is miserable.
But, it is a one piece waterproof suit, so breath-ability is not going to be a strong point with it or any other similar suit. I will say I researched suits before I bought this one and the Phantom had the best venting set up of all of them. When the air is cool and the vents are open, I can feel a good flow of air getting in, so I do know the vents work even when the air is hot and it doesn't seem like it.
I find the suit easy to get in and out of quickly with the full leg zippers. I did notice the zippers would get stuck sometimes if I went all the way up with them. Easy fix though, just stop unzipping an inch from the top.
I bought the suit over a year ago, I've used it winter and summer and all in all, for where I live, it's a great suit for at least three seasons here. Comfortable for an armored one-piece suit, waterproof and the hi-viz yellow is eye-popping bright, so safety-wise this thing is tops.
My only complaint is that I wish the legs had vents similar to the older Olympia Transformer pants (not the mesh tech ones). But, I suppose the full leg zippers make this un-doable.
Yes, I recommend this product.
