Schuberth E1 Adventure Helmet The Schuberth E1 Helmet offers adventure riders a premium modular helmet designed to perform when the ride leaves the pavement. The Schuberth design team developed the E1 in Schuberths proprietary aeroacoustics lab, resulting in a helmet optimized for both aerodynamic and aeroacoustic performance. Schuberths Anti-Roll-Off System keeps the helmet in place, while the removable and washable inner lining allows riders to keep their helmet clean in between adventures. One of the most innovative features is the fully articulating peak visor, which can be adjusted to three different positions independently from the face shield and chin bar. The E1 can be worn with both the faceshield and peak in place, or riders may opt to easily remove either piece for the ride. The E1 also features a closable air vent in the chin bar to ensure that riders get enough air as the ride intensifies, while a removable and washable filter will help clean the air in dirty and dusty conditions. The E1 includes a built-in antenna for Schuberths SRC-System PRO. Utilizing the latest in Cardo communication technology, the Bluetooth SRC-System serves as an intercom with other riders and can connect to a GPS unit, MP3 player or mobile phone for navigation, music listening or phone calls. Features: Interior liner has been designed with fewer seams and a more universal interior fit Improved EPS with integrated antennas for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range Micro-lock ratchet chin strap Large reflective panels on neckroll Improved faceshield ratchet mechanism Integrated sun visor Outer Shell: The outer shell is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight. Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds Upward lift 0! Directionally stable No oscillatory tendency No buffeting Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell SRC-System Ready: The E1 is equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception, the E1 is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost FM and Bluetooth reception. Optimum reception at all times FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception EPS: The EPS foam liner is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution. Made of specially optimized EPS foam Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption Inner Lining: A special inner lining of the E1 was developed according to Schuberth's innovative Comfort Fit concept that ensures the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials, with the additional use of Interpower coatings, also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system. COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30C) Optimized fit Variable venting for effective ventilation Adjustable for summer/winter Allergen-free Antibacterial Removable comfort cheek and head band pads Ventilation: Thanks to the design of the vents, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam liner and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensures that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area. A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap: The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) was especially developed by SCHUBERTH as a safety feature and is incorporated into every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the helmet cannot roll off of the head when the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted: The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt Reduces the chance of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides Micro-lock ratchet lock Face Shield: The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without the use of tools. City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging DOT and ECE certified

Wore this helmet for 6 hours last weekend in 95 - 100 degree temps on the Colorado Front Range. Combination of slow riding on gravel roads as well as speeds up to 70. The venting must be okay since I had no issues with excessive heat. It's very easy to set the clear visor open to exactly the amount you want for airflow with multiple indents that hold the visor firmly. The sun visor would have to be removed for extended freeway miles if you're not behind a big faring since it does yank your head around if it's out in the full wind stream. The modular flip up is awesome at stop lights for a quick word with your riding buddies. Material and comfort are as good as any helmet I have ever worn. Fit is good even though I have more of a long oval head shape. The helmet feels heavier than the Arai xd4 if you're comparing with that helmet, but I didn't notice the weight while riding, only while moving my head around at home comparing the two. Definitely worth ordering to try on since you can return it for $7.95 shipping if it doesn't feel perfect for you. I went through 7 helmets trying to find the right one so I paid about $48 in return shipping, but trying at home is the only way you can wear the helmet long enough to really see if it's going to give you a headache on a long ride.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Sidi Adventure GTX Boots The Sidi Adventure GTX Boots are the gold standard for adventure riding boots. Sidi pulled all the best bits from their famous line of off-road boots and combined them with the legendary quality of their road boots to create the glorious hybrid cyborg that is the Adventure Gore-Tex Boots. A bit more comfortable than off-road boots, the Adventure GTX boots incorporate a hinged ankle support, a rigid and shock-resistant heel cup and composite inner sole with a top grain leather construction, replaceable cam-lock buckles and a sweat wicking cambrelle lining. The slim adjustable calf fits easily inside the pant leg of most riding pants, something that is not always possible with a traditional off-road boot, making them all the more attractive to ADV advocates and enduro enthusiasts. To top off the list of premium features these boots are 100 waterproof and breathable with a Gore-Tex lining that is Guaranteed to Keep You Dry. Features: Soft rubber sole for maximum grip Replaceable strap system Top grain leather construction Composite inner sole Removable arch support Exclusive cam-lock buckle system Cambrelle lining Slim, cool non-bootie design Rigid, shock resistant, anatomically shaped heel for maximum protection Split grain leather inner anti-wear/heat panel Single Flex System upper

Returned these for the Sidi Crossfire 2 which fit my foot better and offer more protection. I have a narrow, low-volume foot and the Crossfire 2 fits my foot well (it's narrow). The Adventure Gore-Tex feels well made but has way too much volume for my foot. Also, for a boot that is marketed "as "extremely protective" it feels flimsy/soft. The Crossfire fits me and offers the most protection I could find and I'm happy to wear a "motocross" boot while riding.
No, I do not recommend this product.
