I know this is a very inexpensive helmet, but god is it terrible.
First, the good things: The helmet is pretty light, and has a great view field. The drop down visor is nice, and is fairly intuitive.
Now for the bad:
The helmet is a creaky, rattle-y beast. It flexes a lot and makes a lot of noise in and of itself.
It fits about a size large, give or take. The sizing chart stinks though. I wear a 7-3/8 hat but even the medium helmet was slightly big. Maybe I just have a funny shaped head.
The fastener sucks! Instead of a traditional D-ring, it's a plastic ratchet. Unfortunately, I can't get the strap to be tight enough. It's tightened all the way into the upper strap covering and it's still not tight enough to give me confidence in its security in a crash.
Speaking of the fastener, there's no way to secure the excess strap, so when riding it flaps around and smacks the side of the helmet, making a very loud noise. I've tried various methods of tucking it in but haven't found anything that keeps it secure for long.
The visor is very insecure. On my first ride I found that turning my head at speed (e.g. to change lanes# results in the visor flying up. This was with the chin bar on; I didn't try it again without the chin bar.
This helm is LOUD! I know that modular helmets tend to be louder than full-faces, but Oh My God. This thing literally causes ear pain at highway speeds with the chin bar on and visor down. Seriously, it's really, really loud. Earplugs are a MUST.
Finally, the helmet is not very well padded and is quite uncomfortable in spots, although again this may be due to my head shape.
Overall, this helmet was a giant waste of money for me, and has flaws I could not have known about without riding in it #e.g. making it non-returnable). I don't believe in getting what you pay for but this helmet is a dud at any cost.
