For reference; I upgraded from a Shoei RF900 - yes, it was too old.
Out of the box:
Stunning. Love the color scheme. Love the quality.
First ride:
A 20 mile jaunt on an old standard Honda - so pretty quiet, even though the baffles were removable, its still a quiet bike considering. At the end, I had no itches, pains, pressure points, etc. so I think my fit was spot on. Thanks Revz!
Noise:
With the vents wide open I definitely heard some air and noise, but not so much that it was a bother. It was noisier than my RF900, but almost in a white noise / background noise type of way. Present but not annoying. When I rode straight up I heard a higher pitched wind buffeting, when I tucked a little the noise pitch lowered, similar to being on a plane. Overall, I wouldn't let this stop you from getting this helmet.
Wind/air:
Duh. Lots! However, when the sun visor is down, you will notice a LOT less air traveling to your brow/forehead area.
Vision:
Super wide and clear. The sun visor is, , , interesting. This is my first lid with the internal visor so I'll have to get used to it. I liked the ability to switch brightness immediately, and adjust for glare. The visor, imho, should come down another 3 cm / 1 inch. The nose cut out is just in your vision, making it slightly distracting at times. Again, it probably something I'll never notice in another 2 rides.
Overall:
Kinda a steep price compared to an RF. You'll have to decide if you just need more air, or think the visor is the bee's knees. For me, I liked the color combo, the visor, and Shoei always puts out quality, so spending a little more over a 5 - 7 year product was OK for me.
Yes, I recommend this product.
