Been waiting since I got my 2013 BMW F800GS for the perfect mount to use with my aux lights. This light mount is sturdy, easy to install, puts the lights right where I wanted them and I would call it a universal mount. I believe it is made with such a heavy gauge metal that my lights will not shake when off road and will stay put for a long time.
Plus, great price and the location should protect the lights from a dump. Buy these mounts...I think you will like the quality and location on your bike.

I have owned Cardo intercom units since 2010. The Q3 I got after using the G4 for a few years because of the slim profile and larger buttons, as well, this unit seems to be much more water resistant than my G4. Once you have owned a Cardo you get used to the combinations of buttons to push to work through your phone calls, music, radio and GPS.
I do not have a BT GPS so I use this for my music, audio books and phone. The G4 had better battery life when using my iPhone music for hours on end. I found the Q3's battery life listening to pretty much non-stop music to last almost 8 hours at most.
If used as an intercom the battery life I am certain would be much longer. I just got back from a 14,000 KM X Country trip (May - June 2014) and used this everyday. I was hit with down pours, hail, cold weather you name it. It was Spring time in the Mid West. Did great with the rain. Install on my Shoei RF 1200 was easy but then again I am used to these units. Like the ability to update the firmware online, set up your radio stations too. Forgot, this has a radio and you can search for local radio stations in the area you are in. The sound can be adjusted automatically with the ambient noise levels. Nice feature to have.
Pausing, next song and going back to repeat a song is really easy too. You can hook up two phones as well. Nice feature for me as I have a work BB and personal iPhone. When speaking on the phone it is clear and the person I am talking to barely is aware I am on my bike. Recommended to everyone as a solo rider or have the need to link with other bikes. I need to read up on how to do this because I tried with another Cardo user with a G9 when in New York and we never did link. Human error I am sure.
Read the manual, practice with the buttons before you use it if needed and have fun with stereo sound, stock speakers not that bad even have bass. Volume buttons are to the rear on the back of the unit and are easily accessible when riding. advgrrl.com

Shoei RF-1200 Helmet - Solid The Shoei RF 1200 represents years of development and evolution of the Shoei RF Helmet series, distilled into one of the most advanced sport helmets available. The RF1200 has evolved through both wind tunnel testing and on-track rider feedback into a helmet that is light-weight, quiet and most of all extremely safe. Slim And Light Weight Design One of the most important features of a quality helmet is that you hardly know its there protecting your head. Shoei has reduced the weight of the RF-1200 by using a slimmer design and building a distinct line into the side of the helmet that also serves as an accent. As a result, the new Shoei RF-1200 is lighter than any other Snell certified helmet in the current Shoei lineup. Shell Construction The new slim design of the Shoei RF-1200 , with its distinct accent cut line, widens the bottom of the helmet to help ease the process of putting the RF-1200 on or taking it off. Further advancing the comfort of the AIM+ shell is the industry leading four shell sizes that the Shoei RF-1200 comes in. The impact-absorbing dual liner consists of two layers incorporating different densities, helping to effectively balance the potential impact applied to the more rigid shell. Quietness Through advancements in the aerodynamic shape, improved interior linings and a new and improved shield system the rider will experience a very quiet and comfortable riding experience. The interior of the RF-1200 has achieved a balance of a comfortably soft fit and a firm, stable hold. The new design of the cheek pads also improves the motion of the neck, thus helping the rider to check traffic behind him/her for example. Shield System The new CWR-1 Pinlock shield features ribs on top and bottom of the shield to improve rigidity and eliminate bending of the shield caused by wind pressure or the opening and closing of the shield. Independent beading in the top and sides of the Shoei RF-1200 help to keep the seal of the shield tight and eliminate any excess air. In addition to the CWR-1 shield, Shoei has developed a new base plate for the RF-1200. The Quick-Release Self-Adjusting base plate is spring-loaded and pulls the shield back onto the helmet, sealing it tightly against wind and rain. The addition of a new five-stage rotating dial allows for fine tuning of the base place for easy shield adjustments. Ventilation A large lower three position vent, three upper air vent intakes and four uniquely positioned upper exhaust outlet vents combine with the Dual Density EPS liner to allow cooling air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS liner. Features Four shell sizes Dual density EPS liner Superior ventilation 3D Max-Dry System II Liner E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick-Release System) CWR-1 Shield System Neatly secure chin strap Includes Pinlock pins and lens insert Includes breath guard and chin curtain Snell M2010 and DOT Certified Note Due to manufacturer restrictions, the Shoei RF-1200 and other Shoei products can only be shipped to addresses within the United States

I love this helmet. Moved up from owning a Qwest for 4 years to the RF1200. The helmet feels much lighter while on, love the side "cut" outs which allow for better shoulder checks. I always take a small in Shoei and 1200 fits snug compared to the Qwest but in a good way. Other than being a little more difficult to take off this helmet seems to fit me better. Very quiet with the shield down, I have tried the venting on the cold and can feel lot's of air hit my face and head. Love the looks, very cool but no over stated.
Still have a snap closure versus a ratchet and I am more than comfortable with that. Hopefully I will never have to have someone use the emergency cheek pad removal but nice to know the pads have a RED tab so to show anyone who might find me can easily pull the check pads out to remove my helmet in an emergency.
Comes with a pin local shield as part of the price which is reasonable for such a well made helmet. Not the lightest one on the market but lighter to me. Was a PITA to install my Cardo G4 mount but I seemed to be able to get it secured. I understand Cardo may have a special intercom set up for this helmet like the Shuberth in the near future. Have not seen it on their web site yet.
Great field of vision, easy on and off shield for cleaning, sun but comfy fit, great looks, great venting all at an impressive price to protect your biggest investment your head.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Switched from my Scouts to the Toucan primarily for better shin protection and the Gore Tex guarantee. I took these boots on a 900 KM ride recently and rode through pouring rain, rain, snow, hail just to name a few climate conditions. No issues with staying dry at all. I really wasn't too concerned about the H20 proofness. The fit is typical AP. I am a female, usually wear a 39 in AP but they do not make my size so I ordered a 40.
I will add an insert to tighten up the foot bed a bit but the extra size up did not pose any problems. I had to raise my gear shift on my '13 BMW F800GS a bit but I also just added pivot pegz. Once I played with the buckle settings the boots fit great and very comfortable. A little stiffer than the Scouts but again I wanted that and a higher boot too.
The boots squeak probably because they are new and again does not bother me. Can always use a little lube if it gets annoying. I feel better protected in this boot. I always seem to hit my shin on my pegs at some point when riding. This time around I did as predicted, hit my shin but the boots are high enough that I did not feel it. Like the styling, really like the two buckle system, easy on easy off, not too stiff, easy to walk in and waterproof. Obviously not able to test how they do in really HOT weather since it's the Fall but I wore my Scouts 4 seasons just used different socks. Recommend for the DS biker out there. Oh, and as far as standing on your pegs, the sole is great with no pressure or aches after standing for quite some time.

We bought these gloves as an alternative to our heated gloves to be used with our Hippo Hands in cold weather riding. There is no doubt these gloves will work well for all weather conditions except the summer. No vents but for a light weight three season glove without bulk, there is decent knuckle protection, some palm cushioning too.
I like how around the fingers they a flexible type material making this a very comfortable glove to ride in. Need to test this out in our "wet" coast rain and will report back. I also like not having a gator cuff. Simple good old fashion elastic like cuff that will not fit over your jacket but under the sleeve.
They say H20 proof and I will believe it when we get to use them in rain. Thin liner in the palm area which is for picking up the heat from your grips. Nice looking glove too. Recommend for the price. Just need time to see how they last and hold up to regular usage.
Yes, I recommend this product.

We have owned KLIM Products for a few years now and bought this Latitude jacket and pants to "replace" our KLIM Traverse. We were looking for more abrasion protection and this suit delivers that for sure.
Initially it was clear that the high collar was too high for us and would catch our helmets especially when doing shoulder checks. We sent the jackets back to KLIM and they altered the collars by trimming them and also by adding soft fabric on the inside. Yet, the large zipper fully zipped would jab into our throats. For the normal sized guy this is most likely not an issue. We are two grrls.
After riding this summer with the Latitude jacket and pants we have decided comfort means a lot to us too. WE have gone back to the Traverse for sheer comfort. The Latitude has great features like the hip gators and more pockets than the Traverse but because for some reason reason the cut it slimmer especially the pants we find this suit too snug based on the sizes we need to wear as grrls.
100% H20 proof you can be sure of when riding with KLIM and protection they take seriously. But they have release the Misano Latitude, using less 840D Cordura which makes sense in the non abrasion zones but they still keep the collar HIGH. Not a suit for us but many LOVE it. All subjective in the end. WE will wait to see what else KLIM has for the ADV rider. There has to be a happy medium between the Latitude and Traverse. The Badlands is too heavy and technical for our needs.
Yes, I recommend this product.

True to size we found these boots...we wear a size 8 in woman's and got size 6. So far I have been in down pours, hail storms and the warmest I have ridden in these has been 20 degrees Celsius. I would imagine the Scouts being warm in hot weather, they are indeed waterproof and right out of the box we found them really comfortable even without adding a gel insert.
The buckles once adjusted are easy to close but I wonder if the plastic latch will last....sure hope so. I feel way more supported then when riding in our Rev'It H20 Apache boot and no need to adjust shifter. We find the boot slides easily under our BMW F650GS shifter and easy to reach the brake.
Overall, nice looking boot, does what it says it should do, good height, no pinching around the calf, should wear high socks which we do and we think these are a keeper if you are looking for a mid range ADV boot that is not over kill.

Featuring a slightly round oval internal shape, the Qwest helmet is manufactured with 4 individual shell sizes to keep the helmet as low-profile as possible. The smaller the helmet shell, the lighter the helmet weight. The Shoei Qwest Helmet also uses the Shoei's CW-1 visor technology with the Q.R.S.A system. I have over a 1000KM on this helmet in all weather including pouring rain. When the shield is fully closed this helmet is pretty quiet and does keep the rain out. When the shield is cracked open using the latch on the side there is an annoying whistling on my right side coming from the shield or something. When I open it a little more it goes away.
I think I may have misjudged my sizing by just a bit. My head measures slightly over 22 inches and I bought a small with the 33mm check pads. After riding for a few hours I find this helmet to start feeling a little heavy and somewhat uncomfortable. Not the fault of the helmet I should have bought a medium instead of the small.
Other than the sizing I really like the style, it is made very well, check pads come out really easily and of course changing out the shield so simple and quick. Added a pin lock clear shield and wear it all the time night or day. I am used to the glare you get at night because I have been using the pin lock system for a long time on my TZR. Make sure you install the lens perfectly and get a good seal. Shield still can fog up but not nearly as bad when riding without the pin lock lens.
Venting hard to tell at this time because it is still winter and although I have opened the vents and can feel air flow the real test will be in the warmer months to come.
I like the shape and this helmet makes it easy to do shoulder checks. I could not get my Cardo G4 clip to work without using the adhesive pad but again not a big deal. There are neat areas inside the helmet for speakers and have a slight countersink to them so your speakers to do not hit your ears. Tight fit when you are wearing glasses or sunglasses. I find this helmet does not have enough room for the arms of the glasses and it is difficult to get your prescription glasses to fit your face while wearing the helmet.
Overall, I got this helmet for a great price, wish I sized up but will have to make do for now. Revzilla as always great customer service and so easy to deal with. I recommend this helmet for ADV riding, has a DS look to it but make sure you really measure your head and if between sizing I would say go up.
BTW, I am a woman and just wanted to note that just in case some gals read this.

We bought these gloves to compliment our Gerbing liner. IMPORTANT, these gloves RUN HUGE. I usually wear a small in gloves even in men sizes. I ordered XS but should have ordered XXS. Gerbing says you need to use a waterproofing agent before using and we did. Rode in the rain/fog the other morning and all was dry and warm. We are using one temperature controller and so far in .5 degrees Celsius commuting to work I was able to get the jacket and gloves to a comfortable temperature.
These gloves are a bit bulky for motorcycling but work well enough. I think there are competitors out there that are making more fitted heated gear. Something we might look into at a later date. For now, these are great for warmth and because we try and ride all year round, this winter because of the T5 will be much more comfortable than last year.
Recommend, little pricey, little bulky, you have to waterproof the outside as stated from Gerbing but in the end anything to keep me warm is good thing.
Pros Comfortable, Rugged

I have worn these gloves twice in cooler weather. It's starting to get cold in the mornings but I can all ready tell this winters riding is going to be a whole lot more comfortable than last years. Watch the sizing on these gloves, they run HUGE. I read online that you should order at least 2 sizes down and that is what we did. I usually take a small in men sizes but ordered XXS in the T5. Still a little big in the width and fingers as I am a woman with small hands but workable.
We use a single controller and I am going to see how that works with our liner. So far no issues with controlling the temps of both my liner and gloves with the one controller. I read the instructions and used NIKwax to waterproof the outside. Gerbing says to do this even though the gloves are supposed to be waterproof but I think that is the liner not the outside.
The connection cord can get in the way of your wrist. Have to take an extra minute or two to tuck it in. Not sure how the gauntlet will fit under my sleeve of my jacket when it is raining outside because the gauntlet is rather large.
They seem to be made well and I look forward to when the temp drops and see how they really do. I will report back more later in the season.
