How long has CorTech been around? It shows. The jacket has exactly 1 weakness: it fits perfect with the liner, and with it out...the elbow cups are loose. I wear a pair of reflective led stretch bands from aerostitch these days to keep the cups snug. Once its cooler, this won't be an issue. I'm 5'10" and 210 lbs. Most of it under the jacket..
The picture of the back? I visited it 374 times not sure where that stitched bottom pad would fall on my back. Not to worry, there is a pocketed backshield that stretches down to 1" above the waist seam. The pocket is oddly, and correctly shaped, so you might have to do some sculpting to get a CE rated installed. Other pads are without complaint.
At first I thought the wrist closures way of fitting when zipped and velcro'd would prove too loose. In hot weather it doesn't affect the fit in the wind, and in cooler weather should prove more snug with the liner.
Its a great jacket. I've 35 yrs on bikes; folks compliment the jacket, but that could just be historical remembering. When I first rode, denim and leather were the only choices. And then waxed cotton came to the States. Anyway ... you get the idea. I've no idea really on style, but I like the jacket. And am discarding a flashier product that had zippers keep failing; and waist bands pulling loose. How long has Cortech been in business?
Yes, I recommend this product.

What is the difference between a standard and a long jacket? Is it only the sleeve lenght or is the length of the body longer too?

Think of it this way, the fit is always the same on the right dimensioned individual. So how much do arm lengths really diverge without changes in height always? I would guess sleeves in a 1 - 3" range might get similar waist placement, but I can't imagine that's the case for larger differences. Is an XXL longer in the body than an XS? You betcha. Now you have to ask your question a little more specifically: is it the same model jacket OR is it the same model with a higher waist, or longer below the waist coverage?
