I love my Arai Corsair V helmets but they fog up like crazy (once on a hot humid summer evening). I bought the original Pinlock shield with a couple of inserts and it solved the fogging issues but the insert obscured part of the visible area. Indeed, even the packaging warned not to use it in the tuck position. In the tuck the insert gasket was directly in my sight-line.
Then along came the Max Vision Pinlock and I bought one with a couple of inserts. The first thing I noticed was that the shield is not flat like the old style. It has an outward bulge that is the shape of the insert. The inserts fit perfectly into this bulge and rather than having slots that fit into the pins, they have tabs that the pins hold down. The inside of the shield with insert is now flush (as opposed to the raised insert on the inside of the old style shield).
The new Max vision system is larger than the opening in the Corsair so it no longer obscures your vision, even in the tuck position. The insert is shaped around the brow vents too.
I completely forget that I am wearing a Pinlock shield. Fogging is no longer an issue and with the Max vision, I have the full use of that large Corsair opening. This is how it should have been from the start. It has all the advantages of a Pinlock but with a lot more visibility.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I finally decided to buy the Corsair V and am not disappointed.
First off pictures do not do this helmet justice. The graphics and subtleties of the paint are much nicer in person.
The fit is perfect for me and it is easy to put on a pair of sunglasses unlike some of my other helmets.
Arai put a lot of attention to the small details on every component on this helmet.
Next it was off to give it a test ride. It's colder at this time of year here (45F/7C) and the shield fogged much faster than any of my other helmets. Fortunately the shield lock is easy to use with gloves on and so I just lifted up the shield when stopped. After 10 minutes or so the temperature stabilizes and the shield stops fogging.
As soon as I got on the main road in front of my house I was reaching up to close the vents. This helmet flows a lot of air, much more than any helmet I've used. Even when I wasn't in the tuck position air flowed freely. I was skeptical about the temple vents in the shield but they work very well.
All the vents are very easy to use with gloves on and are simple and intuitive.
The visibility is excellent both with peripheral vision and forward when tucked. I immediately felt more confident in traffic and at extreme angle intersections due to the peripheral visibility.
The helmet cut through the air very well and was comfortable even on a long ride. It feels much lighter than what the scale may imply. It was also was surprisingly quiet for a race style helmet.
I just used my TeamZilla cash to get a Pinlock shield and insert which should take care of the shield fogging. I watched Anthony's demonstration video so I changed the shield very quickly with no problems.
Overall, this is an expensive helmet but well worth it. It's by far the best helmet I have.

This is my second Dainese jacket; the first one is the Newsan New.
The Newsan has more pockets, D-Skin, and the bubble liner, but is more expensive.
That said, the Racing jacket is extremely nice. All the details (logos etc) are cut and sewn leather. I got a white, white, red one, and it looks great with black leather pants and a carbon Vemar helmet.
It's the end of summer here and quite warm but the Racing jacket is very comfortable.
It has great elbow and forearm armor, maybe even better than the Newsan. The extra forearm armor made it a little tougher to put on my Held Titan gauntlet gloves but it was not a big deal.
It zips up to my Dainese pants nicely and the jacket fits great in the riding position with it's shape (I have a Ducati 748).
I was surprised when I got it to see that it has reflective inserts on the elbows just under the red expansion panels.
Overall, this is a great jacket. It's not inexpensive but it's worth the money and looks fantastic.

I got the "day glow" yellow. I tried it on for size then jumped back on the Duc to try it out.
The mesh is very tight and it doesn't look like a mesh jacket but he air-flow is excellent. It's very comfortable as far as fit and keeping you cool. It's very high quality especially for the price.
When my brother saw me he said "nobody can miss you with that on". The safety yellow color is extremely visible and the black accents look great.
With the high airflow and lack of a removable liner this is definitely a summer only jacket.
The elbow armor goes way down the forearm, right down to my Held Titan gauntlets, which is impressive.
It's also a true European cut. I'm Italian with the typical European frame. The sleeves are nice without a lot of excess material and much smaller wrists than my Tour Master Draft (again, it's a true Euro cut). If you have a larger frame or plan to wear layers later in the season I suggest going up a size.
The reflective piping runs along both sides of the black arm/shoulder trim but is minimal but very visible.
All that said I'm thrilled with this jacket. It looks fantastic and is a great summer jacket. I ride a lot at dawn and dusk and you can't miss the "safety yellow" color. For my frame the fit is perfect (I got a Medium and have a 41 inch chest).
As always, Revzilla flat out rocks. I ordered this yesterday afternoon and wore it today.

How does the sizing of the Arai Corsair V compare to an Icon Alliance helmet?
I have an Icon Alliance helmet in XS -- it fits tight but well and comfortable. I am looking to upgrade to an Arai Corsair V. Looking at the sizing chart, seems that I should order a size S in the Corsair V, but typically S is too big for me. Does the Corsair V run small and I should order it in S or does it fit more like the Icon Alliance (and I should therefore stick with an XS)?

I'm not familiar with the Icon but used the size chart and the RevZilla video to determine the size of my Corsair V and it was dead on. The Arai website has a lot of sizing information too (http://www.araiamericas.com/). My advice is to get a cloth measuring tape, measure your head like the video shows, and then go with the chart. Head shape is a factor but Arai recommends changing the comfort pads if the regular ones feel too tight or loose. Give RevZilla a call if you are still not sure.

is the color on this helmet burnt orange or red?
The graphics on the Arai Corsair V Aoyama are red with orange insets/accents.Toward the bottom of the helmet the gradient goes from black to red. Just above the visor line there are burnt orange stripes that separate the red from the inset orange (red outlines). As the orange moves toward the front of the helmet it blends to back to red. On top, on the vent channels, the red blends to a dark red (again as an inset) then back to the bright red. All through the colors it has a fine metal flake so it sparkles in the light. Overall I say it's red (and I went to art school and worked as an illustrator) but you have to see it - pictures don't do the paint job justice. It's really awesome and has a lot of subtle blends and details.
