After my first multi day trip with the C3, shuberths "flagship" model, I immediately purchased the C2 upon my return. The liner design of the C3 is such that there is a pressure point in the mid-top forehead—everyone I've seen who has this helmet has this indent in the forehead after wearing it....either your head breaks in or the helmet does...my head never broke in i guess. After several days of the C3, it became really really uncomfortable. This issue is completely gone with the C2, better liner, slightly more oval shape, same great features....and i realize that i prefer a non-flip helmet.

i've had 2 versions of this glove. the styling on the newer version is way better than the older one, function is identicle. glove fits very weil, thumb is a tad long on me but fine on the bikes, all other fingers are perfect. with good hand protection and heated grips on the bike this glove will do fine in winter. i've found myself wearing it in freezing temps with no issues at all, much more feel than a full "winter" glove....on an unfared bike though i need a bit more in the warmth dept. rain? no problems. perfect.

Simply superb!
First off regarding fit. Personally i don't get the sizing guidelines I've seen for this boot on revzilla and on other sites. One site actually had a full walkthrough with tracing your foot on paper and measuring it with a ruler—result was a solid 42 for me. In US sizing i'm a solid 8.5, that converts to a 42 on the Sidi chart. In US sizing i often wear a 9 for a decent "boot" fit where one can often handle a bit of room. If shoes need to fit perfect like for hiking, motorcycling, etc....8.5 US for me.
I'm comparing this boot in terms of sizing to 2 other pairs. My go to boot is the BMW all-round. Great boot—I was able to try on multiple sizes in the store and went with a 41, been ideal for over 2 years. My other boot is a Dainese. In that boot I'm a 42 and the conversion inside is listed as US 9....they fit much narrower than the BMW boots...the 41 in the Dainese hit my toes...incidentally the BMW boots are made in Italy where the italian brand Dainese are made in Indonesia? What?
On a lark, because this boot is out of stock everywhere in 42 and I really wanted it bad for a trip in June....i figured I'd order the 41, because my BMW boots were a 41, and see if they fit...both being Italian made...worst case, i'd swap for a 42 and maybe jump the queue a bit with an exchange status...
41 is perfection in the Sidi, for me. I'm actually at the limits of how tight I can adjust the second buckle....and I adjusted the top of the foot buckle a little tighter as well...
Point is, everyone is saying these fit true to size so either my idea of my own foot size is wrong (it's not—I've never worn a 7-7.5 US in my life)...or there are several factors to account for and this just worked out for me and my feet...plus my experience has been that leather boots will give over time...point is don't assume you will fit these according to the Sidi chart. Incidentally on the actual box there is a conversion scale...and the 41 more aligns with 8-8.5 NOT 7-7.5....so whatever....try on a couple of sizes...
FIT AND FINISH ARE NUTTY GOOD. I MEAN AWESOME. I don't think i'll ever buy another brand. Seriously. I could care less about price if I'm getting the best for what I need...plus my body is priceless and totally at risk on a motorcycle....i'll never understand people who penny pinch gear when riding on 2 wheels...but that's just me!
Comfy within minutes out of the box. No squeaking either...but with some more use I don't know...

Will the SRC system for the C3 work with S2?
No. It's a totally different system. The C2 has an integrated antenna. Hopefully this will solve the issues/shortcomings of the C3/SRC. My experience has been that the C3 with SRC is pretty unreliable with rider to rider communications....

Is this a helmet designed for the upright position, long distance touring?
I'm comparing this to the C3. On an R1200GS with the Adventure windscreen the C2 is MUCH smoother behind the screen than the C3....
Likewise on a Street Triple R, naked, it's a smoother helmet at speed than the C3. No difference in loudness, for me ear plugs still required on a naked bike...regardless of helmet...

Is sizing the same for the S2 and the C3?
I own both helmets. The C2 has a MUCH better liner than the C3 on my head anyway. The fit and finish is better on the C2 as well. the C2 is a slightly longer oval than the C3, it is not more narrow though.
