Kaoko Throttle Lock Ducati 748/ 848/ 916/ 996/ 998/ 999/ 1098/ 1198/ Monster 1100 S EVO/ Multistrada S/ Streetfigther S/ Scrambler The Kaoko Cruise Control is perfect for anyone looking to reduce fatigue and strain on your hand and wrist during long distance highway riding. Each Throttle Lock consists of a simple, ingenious and robustly designed friction nut that is integrated with a special Kaoko bar end weight. The Kaoko bar end weight is closely matched in appearance and weight to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) bar end weight. The Friction Nut has a left-hand thread. It must be adjusted so that it makes light contact with the rubber throttle sleeve. The Grub Screw is set to provide the necessary resistance on the friction nut. This may be adjusted periodically to take up wear. To Engage: Twist the throttle and friction nut simultaneously with your right hand. This action tightens the nut and provides sufficient friction to set throttle to the desired position. The friction nut is designed that the rider may still open and close the throttle. To Disengage: Roll off the throttle while gripping the friction nut. The throttle should open and snap closed freely. Type A: Compatible with or without OEM handguards. For those who do not have CC on their bikes, this is a good alternative. Do not mistake this for a CC system though as it requires interaction from the rider and it really is just a wrist strain relief device. The Instructions for the final adjustment of the device sounds good but you really have to play with it to get a feel for locking and unlocking the throttle. I had a device that used the brake lever for locking the throttle and it worked well except there was slippage at times. This unit keeps the throttle level locked very well. Make sure you practice the mechanism a bit after installation so you feel comfortable with actions you will take to engage and disengage the control device.

Got over 8,000 miles on my first set (OEM tires on 2013 Multistrada). Very impressive traction (wet and dry) for tires with such great tread life. Living in Northern CA, these tires were truly put to test with a variety of road types. Considered RP4s but decided to stay with a set I was already impressed with.
