The Schuberth seems like a very flimsy helmet, the side flex in or outwards making the helmet not close properly. But this maybe a factor as to why the helmet is so light weight? Also my helmet arrived with a shade screen that was blemished. (But the outstanding CS at Revzilla took care of that very quickly) MY nolan holds it's shape better and is overall a more solid helmet. If Nolan could only make it quieter?! (But that's a different topic)
But the whole reason I got the Schuberth was because it's is claimed to be the quietest modular helmet on the market. What I found is that the top vent which has a semi elliptical row of small hole caused a whistling sound at speed. But only when my head was in the upright position. In the attack position as riding a sports bike. there was no whistling. But riding a Harley seat more upright, the vent hole caused a whistling sound. I fix the issue by covering the row of hole with some 3M clear protective tape, and the issue went away. Which is really sad or a helmet that is supposedly wind tunnel tested? For such a basic design flaw to be made? Leaves me to wonder just how good the tech at Schuberth are? I'm not sure is it's just my helmet or if this is a true design flaw? So I don't really know if this is something that Schuberth warranty can fix? I'll contact Revzilla and see if they can assist me with this issue. I'd really want to love this helmet, but because the front of the helmet doesn't close well, and the whistling noise. (Which now I have a piece of tape on my brand new high end helmet) Sort of leave me disappointed. But in the end it is quieter then my Nolan so I guess it's better? But is it hundreds of dollars better??? I would say so. But this is just MHO. If Schubert can resolve this issue I would be a happy camper! So we'll see what can be done? I'll update as I go. Today is 7/7/13

This is a great value compared to my local shop is selling this same helmet for $339, and I got it here for $219 the only thing the noise level is rather high. I need to ride with ear plugs, prolonged rides will surely damage your hearing. (But I guess that is to be expected for a modular helmet. The noise comes from 2 areas. Below the jaw area, and at the hinge area. I'm installing a pair of pads to block the ear ports by the hinge. Hopefully that will reduce the noise. If it doesn't I'll be shopping for a full face helmet.
