I got this in the hopes that it would make long rides on my FZ1 more tolerable. The good news is that it did just that. I would start to get nerve pain and tail bone fatigue after about 60 minutes of riding. My first ride with the Airhawk R was about 5 hours (with a couple quick stops) and although I did still get pain and fatigue, it was very reasonable. The fact that I could ride for 5 hours straight is a small miracle.
I did have to spend some time adjusting, riding, and adjusting again. Once inflated properly to your comfort (don't worry too much about the instructions), and you get the forward/rearward positioning worked out, this seat pad helps a whole lot.
Once on the bike it does raise you an inch or so, but after a couple minutes you don't even notice. Plus the material on the bottom is perfectly non-slip.
I definitely recommend this product. My only real gripe is pretty minor, but I don't care for the look of the fabric of the cover, but it is durable and breathable, so it does its job.
Yes, I recommend this product.
