First off using their size chart it said I was at the low end of a medium, the thing fits like a larger small helmet and very difficult to put on or take off. I called Scorpion to check about this since my liner says medium and shell says small. They said they use a small shell and foam with a medium liner and that they knew their size chart didn't match the size of their helmets. On my bikes with no wind protection it's pretty darn quiet, on my Blackbird it's LOUD, hearing protection required loud. The cheek pads are too thick to even attempt to use the air fit system and I'm not a fat guy. They don't make thinner cheek pads for this size, it comes with the thinnest ones that fit. The antifog works great, the lens is optically correct and the built in sun visor is great. I did not like the shield "crack open" feature, it's to fumbley. Air flow wasn't as good as I expected with all the vents, it's good but not great. For the price point it's a fair helmet but not what I would consider good or great for the current price. After a lengthy phone conversation with Scorpion the guy basically told me the cheaper EXO-500 had the same features, cost less and addressed the issues I have with the 1100. He wouldn't comment on why the more expensive 1100 was, what seemed from my conversation with him, a downgrade from the 500. If your bike has a windshield I would not recommend the 1100 but if your heads out in open air this thing seems to be great and at home there.
Yes, I recommend this product.
