ordered 2 pairs, different sizes to decide which ones to get. I wear a US women's 9-9.5, so I ordered the 41 and also the 40. The 40 fits perfectly, so I guess they run large. My other question was how will they be for walking around in, not just riding. So I wore them around the house for a couple days and never had any problems. I've since gone a 2-week motorcycle tour, wearing them every day, both riding and sightseeing on foot. I also use a custom orthotic insole, and these have removable insoles, so I can use my own. I ride a Spyder so I don't need to worry about the grippy bottom sole, which is good since these don't have that. I rated durability average because this is my first season with them, and don't have better information about this yet. But they are perfect for me.

Nolan N43E Trilogy Solid Helmet New Features New Chinbar is extended for extra room and now can accept included chin curtain New Face shield now has intermediate open position, previous version was either opened or closed New locking pivot kit 6-in-1 design The New Nolan N43E Trilogy Helmet is a crossover design with quick-change accessories that allows for customized looks and functions for every ride. The helmet comes with the clear shield, the integrated sun shield, the peak and the removable chinbar. The Lexan chinbar is EPS lined and mounted with strong stainless-steel latches, so it passes the tests for full-face helmets of the European standard ECE-2205. VPS (Vision Protection System) features a short dark shield mounted on the inside of the helmet which moves independently from the face shield. It provides real eye protection and is also available in amber, light blue and light smoke as an accessory. The VPS is easily operated by a large rubber coated slider on the left side of the Nolan N43 . Features Quick-change shield is optically correct, UV-400 and fitted in an exceptionally large eyeport Includes a Pinlock antifog insert The short black peak can be installed in seconds instead of the clear shield Ready for the N-Com communication system Lightweight aerodynamic polycarbonate shell with built-in spoiler for improved stability Fully removable and washable Clima-Comfort liner is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and wicking Super-efficient JSW top vent with exhaust grid in the rear spoiler works in conjunction with the air channels along the crown Microlock (adjustable quick-release) retention system Velour chin-strap padding 3.6lbs with all accessories DOT Certified Notes Trilogy Solid, Trilogy Outlaw and Trilogy Voyage Helmets are identical except for the paint or graphics. Outlaw versions of Nolan Helmets have a sleeker look with more subtle Nolan logos. Though this helmet passes ECE testing in Europe, in the US it is DOT Approved only.

I was looking for a modular helmet that I could have as a 3/4 configuration with a face shield. I considered this one and the Shark. I liked the idea of the Shark chin bar swinging back, but it just didn't fit so well. This Nolan 43E Trilogy, with a removable chin bar is great.
Other features I like -
- it's much lighter than I expected. My previous helmet was a Scorpion modular, which is quite heavy in comparison.
- Another plus is the ratcheting chin strap, which is really convenient.
- the fit of the Nolan seems to be not as far forward on my cheeks, so I don't have the "fish-mouth" I had with the Scorpion. It's also easier to put on than the Scorpion, too.
- the visibility is great. Good peripheral vision, as helmets go, but also very little distortion on the sides of the shield.
One minus - When I use the sun visor, I have to push the helmet down in the front so the visor provides the correct coverage. When I do, the chin strap gets a little tight against my neck. So I would recommend the visor being a little longer.
Yes, I recommend this product.
