Shogun Frame Sliders Yamaha FZ 1 Shogun sliders are superior to other slider brands by virtue of their construction and material--shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun sliders absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperature like some types of Delrin or fade in the sun. Each slider has a press fit aluminum bushing (excluding bar ends) to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the slider puck or spool tearing off of the mounting point. Shogun frame slider offsets are CNC machined from the same grade aluminum as military aircraft. Offsets are anodized black to match OEM components. Each offset is manufactured to stringent specifications with ISO 9000 quality control. Each Shogun Frame Slider comes with high tensile strength corrosion resistant hardware (cheap imitators do not use high grade hardware and will quickly rust). Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle. Designed by racers, sold by racers, for the serious rider! Sold as a pair Note Carbon S5 Frame Sliders include a black anodized T-6061 aluminum end cap.

This was the first piece of equipment that I installed to my 2009 FZ1. The Shogun Frame Slider was an easy install - probably took all of 5 minutes for both sides. I purchased the carbon print (black) model and it quite matches my bike. Note - there are minimal instructions but all it took was to replace the existing bolts with the supplied bolts. The Aluminum cap was a bit more difficult to put on as the screws were not self tapping and they do NOT screw in tight. I believe a snug fit was all it took. All in all, the product was an easy install and it looked great on the bike.
Yes, I recommend this product.
