HJC Sy-Max III Helmet The HJC Symax 3 Helmet uses a composite fiberglass main shell to keep weight to a minimum but uses a polycarbonate chin bar to keep the cost at a minimum. Amenities include a drop down internal sun visor, a pinlock-ready face shield and a removable moisture-wicking anti-bacterial liner. Note: The SyMax 3 has a fairly round internal shape. It is ideal for people who need more ear and temple room but conversely it is less suitable for people who need more room in the forehead area. Features: Advanced fiberglass shell with polycarbonate chin bar ACS Advanced Channeling Ventilation System front to back airflow flushes heat and humidity up and out Optically superior Pinlock-prepared face shield with anti-scratch coating (Pinlock anti-fog insert sold separately) QuickSlide tool-less shield replacement system One-touch integrated smoke-tinted SunShield deploys quickly and easily Single-button chin bar/face shield release SilverCool moisture-wicking and odor-free interior with advanced silver anti-bacterial fabric, pads are removable and washable DOT approved

Very loud, probably because of all the ridges and odd angles. Doesn't come with a chin curtain. Air flow not bad, but I get more up under chin than through the chin vent. Don't bother riding in the rain, my HJC 3/4 keeps water off the head better. Sun visor has three positions but this one I can't move all the way down without holding the release button at the same time. Sun visor vibrates because of too much movement in the channel. Very comfortable once I made some mods. Because it's not a wide profile, the cheek area is a little tight for my extra large head and it is made for a round head although some not recommended mods will fix that. The chin strap padding needs to extend all the way through the cheek pads. As it is, the sewing is not covered and rubs me the wrong way.
The price is right, it's light for a flip up and lots of visual area. Good sized ear holes, plenty of room for ear buds. You'll need those or plugs.
Yes, I recommend this product.
