I obsessed over sizing and after watching and reading endless reviews I settled on a 52 (tall) and they are spot on. I'm a 32 waist. The straps on the wide offer a little wiggle room too.
Versus Astars track pants:
I consider these a poor man's track pant. I know...not recommended for that but let's be honest that 90% of people buying these are using them for it. I'm sure that the official track version of these are a substantial improvement on leather and armor.
A point off these because the armor isn't great. The foam hip guards are worthless (you can upgrade them though). I'm also not comfortable using the knee/shin protectors so I removed them and am using my own. Style points for being not too tight or baggy. Buy them.

Was worried it would add heft to the already tight jacket but it really doesn't. I think the KR-1i would since it has a plastic housing on top of this one. Very flexible which is great as it conforms to your back when tucked. Can't vouch for the protection but judging by the specs it will hold up just fine. Thanks Jeffrey P. for helping me with the decision.

Being 6'4" and slim it's hard to find a leather jacket that fits. I got a 56 and it's as good as it gets (nothing will be perfect for guys this tall unless tailor made). For those complaining about the armor...no premium jackets come with back protection. It keeps the price down and allows you to choose from various options. Buying a back protector in addition to a jacket is implied. Personally I don't need chest protection so I removed the pads to make it a little more roomy. Only con imo is the airflow - but what can you really expect from leather? I opted for the Alpinestars Nucleon KR 2i back insert which seems to offer the least added heft - also a solid buy.

I'll start by saying I'm loyal to REV'IT! jackets because they feel tailer-made for my body type (I've tried A LOT of jackets!). The Tarmac Air Textile is my favorite jacket on the planet for mild to warm weather riding.
Excalibur:
- I'm 6'4" and slim and I purchased an XL. It fits just right. REV'IT! jackets have a lot of adjustability too.
- This jacket is well insulated and warm. Given I have a high tolerance to cold, this thing paired with a hoodie makes me uncomfortably hot at slow to moderate speeds (hoodies also make it bulky). I haven't used it in less than 32 degree weather but even that was not an issue.
- The price point is ridiculous. I would have paid more (disregard that comment RevZilla team haha). Make sure you factor in a Seesoft insert since the foam backing it ships with is about as useful as cardboard (they're made with the understanding you will get the Seesoft insert made for it)
- Try it out. RZ has a no risk return policy so you have nothing to lose.
Hope that's helpful.

These were just what I was looking for. Lately I've been pulling up to stoplights and realizing the armor built into my pants has shifted to the point where it wouldn't offer any protection - hardly comforting. I decided to go with strap on guards and pull out the built in ones. These are nice and aren't too bulky. They'll take a little getting used to - figuring out how tight/loose to have them, if you can comfortably walk around in them, etc. Really nice overall.

You'll notice many reviews complaining about how small these are... They do run small, but against the skin they should fit most people. My problem was that if I had to wear them against my skin I would have to either stretch out whatever long sleeve tee I was wearing or not wear one at all. They do look good and they offer awesome protection. Just not for me.

I really wanted to like this, but after realizing there was no shoulder protection (there's actually a buckle that would do more harm than anything) - I had no choice but to return it. It's a sweet looking vest, it just doesn't translate well from dirt to street.

I still can't believe I picked this up for under 30 bucks. I purchased the orange one and boy does it POP! If you're looking for a high vis vest without the construction worker look - this is for you. The waist portion is a high cut but that's a deliberate design by the manufacturer as most bikers like that. I rated the protection and durability as high only to make sure my review was great (as it should be). Obviously this offers zero protection - and it doesn't advertise anything of the sort. Thanks Revzilla!
