REVIT Excalibur Jacket The REVIT Excalibur jacket is a great choice for any rider looking for a versatile, four-season performance piece. It features a removable thermal liner as well as a removable waterproof membrane, which provide significant insulation from the elements, and also can be removed and worn together as a separate jacket. When both the thermal liner and waterproof membrane liner are removed, the jacket offers the excellent ventilation of a summer jacket. Additionally, those who regularly ride in hot weather can upgrade the jacket with a Challenger cooling vest insert, which connects with the same zippers used to secure the waterproof membrane. Although it has the clean lines of a seemingly simple design, the Excalibur is a capable performer. I'll start by saying I'm loyal to REV'IT! jackets because they feel tailer-made for my body type (I've tried A LOT of jackets!). The Tarmac Air Textile is my favorite jacket on the planet for mild to warm weather riding.
Excalibur:
- I'm 6'4" and slim and I purchased an XL. It fits just right. REV'IT! jackets have a lot of adjustability too.
- This jacket is well insulated and warm. Given I have a high tolerance to cold, this thing paired with a hoodie makes me uncomfortably hot at slow to moderate speeds (hoodies also make it bulky). I haven't used it in less than 32 degree weather but even that was not an issue.
- The price point is ridiculous. I would have paid more (disregard that comment RevZilla team haha). Make sure you factor in a Seesoft insert since the foam backing it ships with is about as useful as cardboard (they're made with the understanding you will get the Seesoft insert made for it)
- Try it out. RZ has a no risk return policy so you have nothing to lose.
Hope that's helpful.

These were just what I was looking for. Lately I've been pulling up to stoplights and realizing the armor built into my pants has shifted to the point where it wouldn't offer any protection - hardly comforting. I decided to go with strap on guards and pull out the built in ones. These are nice and aren't too bulky. They'll take a little getting used to - figuring out how tight/loose to have them, if you can comfortably walk around in them, etc. Really nice overall.

Icon Field Armor Stryker Elbow Guard Probably, gonna, crash. Three words that Nick Apex uses to describe his riding style. We know hes not alone. With that thought in mind, Icon created the Stryker Elbow Armor. Rider designed chassis, d3o intelligent foam, and CE certification add up to quality blockers for your under-appreciated pointy bits. If youre one of those riders who is never going to crash this product isnt for you. If you ride anywhere near reality than we suggest acquiring a set of Field Armor Stryker elbows. You'll notice many reviews complaining about how small these are... They do run small, but against the skin they should fit most people. My problem was that if I had to wear them against my skin I would have to either stretch out whatever long sleeve tee I was wearing or not wear one at all. They do look good and they offer awesome protection. Just not for me.

I really wanted to like this, but after realizing there was no shoulder protection (there's actually a buckle that would do more harm than anything) - I had no choice but to return it. It's a sweet looking vest, it just doesn't translate well from dirt to street.

I still can't believe I picked this up for under 30 bucks. I purchased the orange one and boy does it POP! If you're looking for a high vis vest without the construction worker look - this is for you. The waist portion is a high cut but that's a deliberate design by the manufacturer as most bikers like that. I rated the protection and durability as high only to make sure my review was great (as it should be). Obviously this offers zero protection - and it doesn't advertise anything of the sort. Thanks Revzilla!
