Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact Rear Tire The new Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact allows the rider to keep everything under control. The tire follows the riders instincts with a sublime blend of precise and effortless handing. The wet weather handling of motorcycle tires, and especially the braking performance in wet conditions, is becoming an increasingly important feature demanded by the sport-touring rider. This rider requirement occurs especially if it rains suddenly and a high level of security is needed. Metzeler designed the Z8 with the demands of modern sport riders in mind. Features Multi Zone Tension technology, new updated tread profiles and functional tread pattern place the Z8 Roadtec Interact at the top of the sport touring tire class M-Spec and O-Spec tires feature a bi-compound design 8 wider final footprint area than its predecessor due to the variation of steel belt tensions and a strategically placed tread pattern which optimizes pressures in the footprint area 0 Steel Radial technology MAW (Metzeler Advanced Winding) technology The profile shape, inspired by the Greek letter Pi, maximizes the flexibility of the profile, thus ensuring an optimum tire footprint under in all conditions The 3-zone-tension Interact Technology gives outstanding mileage and sporty cornering grip FCM (Fine Carbon Mix) High Silica compound with Nano particles ensures performance and safety in all weather conditions Innovative tread pattern, a widened and more elliptical footprint and a host of wear-resistant technologies not normally seen in motorcycle tires give the Roadtec Z8 Interact its best-in-segment mileage and optimal wet performance throughout the tires life New patented tread pattern with strategically placed longitudinal central grooves provide ideal drainage for more than 3/4 of all lean angles in the wet. The remaining tread grooves work to add tread flexibility, extending the footprint for stability in the dry Updated design improves wear regularity which gives riders the benefit of a consistent riding performance across the tires entire life (W)-rated for speeds of 168+ mph

I've been through a few of these on the rear of my Superhawk and they work fine. I probably am more of an aggressive corner-er than most commuters but there is a strip of unused rubber 1/2 of an inch or so on the edges. A lot of riding is done in straight lines.
For me the tread life exceeds the original Dunlop D204ks by about 2K miles.
Honestly what's more important to me than anything else is to get a decent tire, know it well and use the same model so I can forget about it and just ride. These fit the bill and I will keep buying them as long as they are sold. They are consistent quality items.

I upgraded to these from Sidi Vertebra Tepors I wore for many years. The sizing was the same for both boots. Both fit me well. Both are easy to get in and out of quickly.
The pros of these boots are well documented; basically they are armored tanks for your feet and lower legs. You want protection, you've got it. You could die in a drone strike and your feet would be undamaged.
The point I want to stress is, you aren't just trading more money for more protection here, vs cheaper, lighter weight boots. You are also trading feeling and comfort. Compared to my Tepors, I can't feel the shifter at all. My feet feel like they are in casts. These are big, hulking heavy boots and it takes some getting used to. They're also substantially more difficult to walk around in, and they are hotter to wear. I couldn't ride with them until I adjusted the gear shifter upwards. It's a big boot to swing around the shifter to go from shifting up to down. I feel very clumsy in them and I've had a few accidental clutchless shifts in the acclimation. With the Tepors I could so easily modulate the pressure I put on the rear brake and shifter, just seamless integration between me and the controls, but not so with these. Its like my feet are numb.
Now that being said, I want maximum protection and I'm going to get used to the huge size and lack of feel of these boots. But just be aware what you are getting into here. These may actually be more boot than you want to deal with. They are costly and cumbersome, in exchange for hardcore protection. For commuting, which is what I use them for, they may be overkill.

If you are a stickler for perfectly made goods, these are NOT the gloves for you.
My pair fits well and feels good, but there is a striking lack of symmetry between the left and right. Pad shapes and distances between pads varies. The end of the fingers have several different unique profiles on each glove and between gloves. On the right glove two fingers seem to be twisted slightly. The stitching and edge cuts are rough. These are built to a price and it shows. No one is going to notice but you, and they do provide protection and comfort. I'm not thrilled with them, but not annoyed enough to return them. I won't purchase another S&S glove though. Perhaps I'm expecting too much in this price range. My first and last S&S purchase.

The good.
1 They are sleek and not too bulky looking like some pants.
2 The construction is good quality.
3 I believe they will hold up as expected in a crash.
4 The liners provide versatility for differing temperatures.
5 Hip vents work well. I would have preferred to pay 10 dollars more and have a second set in the calf area too.
The bad.
1 The vent zippers must be handled carefully or they catch on the material. The "high pressure" "low pressure" thing is more hype than substance. Look where they are on the pants. Now imagine you are sitting down. Where are the rear vents now?
2 The liners are not quick to install or take out. You don't want to be in the rain roadside trying to get the rain liner in. Better done sitting down under good lighting at a table. But, they work.
3 I had to get a 3X to get enough room inside the pants, but that makes the legs a bit too long, and the waist a bit too wide. The velcro strips to cinch the waist don't provide enough adjustment to get them as tight as I want.
Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and daily using them. They could be improved a little but they are a very good value for the money.
Yes, I recommend this product.
