 Bell Revolver Helmet - Solid
Bell Revolver Helmet - Solid
Bell Revolver Helmet - Solid Convenience meets confidence with Bells all-new Revolver modular helmet. By harnessing the design horsepower of the marquee Bell Star and the extensive RD know-how of Bells Santa Cruz, Calif. engineering team, weve made a flip-up thats as beautiful as it is functional. One look and its easy to see the family resemblancethe new school shaping and contours that are the signature of the Star (as well as the value-minded Vortex and new mid-line RS-1) are clearly evident and functional in the Revolver. Like its siblings, the Revolver features Bells Velocity Flow Ventilation system to usher cooling air through the helmet. The systems use of precisely-placed flow separator combined with its truncated shape make for an inherently stable aerodynamic signature. The Revolver includes modular-specific features like the integrated internal Sun Shadea short, dark shield independent of the main shieldwhich drops down with the flick of a lever to fight bright sunlight. A robust, easy-to-actuate button opens the Revolvers mechanism allowing the chinbar to flip up. The helmet also uses the worlds quickest, easiest-to-use shield changing systemBells ClickReleaseallowing the option of more than a dozen tints, including the astounding Transitions SOLFX photochromic shield. Other features include comfy Contour Cut Cheekpads, a removable washable comfort liner, Bells Magnefusion strap keeper which replaces the often hard-to-locate strap snap with an elegant magnetic solution that easily engages and secures the strap end. I have been in the market for a modular helmet I tried a couple of different brands and had to send them back because they didn't fit my head shape. I tried the Bell Revolver on the recommendation of the customer service rep. I guess I have an"intermediate oval" shaped head. This helmet fit perfect. The liner is very comfortable with no hot spots or pressure points for me. The flip down sun shield is a nice feature and works perfectly. The flip up chin bar works smoothly and is easy to use with gloves on. I have ridden in rain and foggy conditions and the face shield does not fog. The magnetic strap holder works nicely. The helmet does flow a lot of air under the chin bar but, I like this feature some helmets with a big chin curtain feel too closed in for me, I like to feel the fresh air flowing under there. As others have said the helmet is loud at speed but wearing ear plugs solves this problem.
Overall this is a very nice helmet for the money, I am very happy with mine.
