I am normally a ladies size 7. The 37's were too small, had to send them back for 38s. The ankles on these boots are very snug too. You will not be wearing fat socks with these. The zipper is also very stiff, and I worry about it breaking like it did on my Icon Reigns, just because it is a little bit difficult to zip up given how narrow and snug the ankles are. Other than that these boots are stylish and I like the way the sole seems slightly curved so you feel like you're slightly rocking when you walk, in a comfortable way. I wore these in rain and hail when I wore them for the first time the other day. After riding for a few hours in typical Seattle light rain and non-rain, about 56°, my feet felt slightly damp but overall warm and dry, never cold. These boots are stylish and I could see wearing them with jeans and looking good. If you have a very wide foot these will probably not be the boots for you. My feet are slightly wide and I wear a lift in one shoe, and they just barely work. I like the thick leather reinforced shift patch and good ankle protection.

Icon Women's Reign Waterproof Boots Rain is a fact of life in Icon's hometown of Portland, Oregon. The constant drip and drizzle is only broken by moments of biblical deluge. But the ride must go on. The Women's Reign boot was designed specifically to deal with a never ending wet season. The fit is based upon proven women's foot form for excellent comfort. The ballistic nylon upper is reinforced with leather overlays for durability and protection. An injection molded shinplate and ankle armor elevate the protective quotient, while a rubber shifter interface and non-slip sole allow secure interaction with the surroundings. Of course the Reign features a fully sealed lining and waterproof zipper keeping the boots interior free from outside water incursion. When it comes to riding, the right gear can make all the difference. Durable leather and ballistic nylon upper 100 waterproof seam sealed construction Waterproof and breathable inner lining Injection molded shin and ankle plates Rubber shift interface ribs High friction Icon outsoles Axialmetric steel shank Footpeg interface arch YKK waterproof zippers

Some things this boot is, some things it isn't. This is a great boot if you are looking for a waterproof, comfortable boot for touring or street riding if you live somewhere (like the Northwest) where it can be sunny or rainy, sometimes both at once, and you need a boot that does both well. Surprisingly, it isn't too hot given its waterproof membrane. They are a nice height, hitting below the shin. Good traction on the rubber sole, and comfortable support for all day wear on and off the bike. I rode in a total downpour and my feet stayed nice and warm, though after wearing them all day my feet were pretty damp. Comfortable to walk around in. What they aren't, despite the steel shank, is very good for off road riding of any duration. The shank stops a little past mid foot, so the support does too. If you stand on your footpegs for any length of time, your feet will tire. If you're looking for a boot that will take you off road, this probably isn't it. I found the zipper hard to pull up due to the liner bunching between my foot and the zipper. I also thought the velcro on the zipper was unnecessary, kind of hard to get it unstuck to unzip the boots.
These boots run small. I am usually a size 7 shoe, and needed a full size up, an 8, to fit my wide foot, my socks, and a heel lift. Even a 7.5 was a squeeze on my foot without the lift. The inner sole does not come out to accommodate inserts, btw.
If you're looking for a comfortable, reasonably stylish boot that will keep your feet warm and comfy in the rain, or shine, they are great. Order a half to a full size bigger than your usual size.
